I would keep AP and Fitz. Andre Johnson has missed WAY too many games. Last year was almost a fluke he made it through the entire thing.

With AP + Fitz alone you should be favored to win almost every week if your 2RB is good....

Andre's missed 10 games in 3 years, Fitz has missed 5. Andre has played 4 of 6 full seasons (16 games), Fitz has played 3 of 5 full seasons (16 games). I donno, I feel like saying "Andre Johnson is injury prone" doesn't do him credit. He had an injury, yes, last year, but even when he returned his numbers were greater than Fitzgerald, and much greater than a Fitzgerald-with-Boldin-in.

The biggest thing going for Fitzgerald is his damn consistency. Of his 5 seasons, 3 have been around 100-receptions, 1400 yards, and 11 TDs.

Ok, so my money league is going to draft on Friday. It is auction style with $100/team and you can keep two with a $5+last year's drafting cost. My roster ended up getting racked with injuries, so I don't have too many options to carry over, but I feel like these could qualify (mostly based on costs):

Romo, QB ($14)
P. Thomas, RB ($0)
Gore, RB ($4)
D. Jackson, WR ($0)
E. Royal, WR ($0)
H. Ward, WR ($3)

Right now, I am leaning on taking Thomas and Gore, which would mean I'd only spend $14 on keepers and fill 2/4 of my RB slots which usually suck up most of the cash in my league. I really don't think I can justify spending $19 on Romo, Jackson is hurt right now, Ward is rather inconsistent (and aging) and I don't trust the Neckbeard getting the ball to Royal (sorry Miz).

I think spending that low amount would help me land a bigger stud that other teams won't be able to afford for another RB and some top WR.

Final roster needs to be 3 QB, 4 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 2 K, 1 D/ST (starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST).

What do y'all think?

Every team can keep up to two players. If you choose to keep you have to pay $5 on top of the price they were drafted for last year. So since Gore was $4 last year in the draft, I can keep for $9. I picked Thomas up as a free agent late in the season, so keeping him is only $5.

It really is, especially the way people in the league draft. I've only been in the league for one year with this being my second. Folks were tossing out crazy money for the big picks and I got really gun shy and it probably cost me in the long run -- never really had that big-time, impact player.

Here's how nuts things can be: one guy drafted Brady, Moss, and Welker and paid about a combined $80+ for them all...which bit him in the ass when Brady went down. Westbrook went for over $35, L.T. went for over $40, etc.

Roster restrictions are crazy in the league too. You must have the exact roster I listed above for every game, including reserves. If it isn't exact, you forfeit the game. It helps ensure people aren't stockpiling FAs of one position, but it makes moves, injuries and trades a bit tricky.

I finished just one game out of the playoffs and that was thanks to Romo's fucking thumb and me not having a solid backup to handcuff him (traded Rodgers for Gore in week 5, figuring I just need a one week sub for Romo...oops...). Lost games by no more than 2-4 points three weeks in a row, I was pissed. What made it worse was that the final two playoff weeks my team would've beaten everyone in the league. $1000+ payoff go byebye...that isn't happening again this season damnit!!!!

there's a chance I won't be able to make that, but I will know by late this month. I'm studying abroad in China so the time difference is kinda weird and looks like it falls during class time. I'll set predraft rankings and shit though so np

My goal is to have at the *very* least, 16 people present for the draft. If there's 4 missing they're already going to be in some trouble (preranking 200+ spots down = you're gonna get some weird shit). Anything beyond that and the league will just be a huge mess of people not giving a shit because they got screwed in the 10th round, and it actually matters in a league that deep.

So yeah, if that's a bad time, we'll change. Want to get absolutely as many as possible present. If we need to move it up to the weekend prior to that even, if we must we'll survive.
