Ideally, I'd like to do BGP as an auction, because it gives more room for a good manager to build his/her team. Have you tried doing a snake draft after having done an auction draft? They're soo borrinnnnnggg. BGE is locked for an auction though.

And if you agree with me that an auction format involves more skill, then I'd think it'd be appropriate for BGP, given the premise of the league.

We can take a league vote for that, but noone responds =/ What's a guy to do?

The draft isn't all there is to a season - it's probably 50% at best -- in-season management: trading, free agency, playing matchups properly, is key.

Tyven drafted for Kurp's auction last year, and Kurp has the best total record in BGE (but no rings). BGP is moreso for which managers deserve it, based on wins, than "how did you draft the year before?"

I understand your qualms Aki, but that's possible anywhere. In the first year of BGE, some douche drafted Eli Manning and Edgerrin James within the first two rounds (snake-draft). This will be our second year of auction-drafting, we have a bit more experience with what's what. Plus ESPN has mocks every 5 minutes to hone your drafting abilities. If you see a guy bid 90$ on Adrian -- good for him, that means he's just putting his own team at a disadvantage in terms of acquiring positions elsewhere. The biggest reason I like auction drafts, is that it puts it in the hands of managers to get the players they want -- at least 3-5 players that they really want on their team.

Don't forget the clutch waiver wire pickups. That's how I make noise in pretty much any league I play in (baseball too).
