5. Worst place to draft in 2009

I just think #1 (MJD) is worth more than 1 slot than the next best pick #2(AP). More like:

1. MJD
2. MJD
3. AP
4. Forte
5. Turner

Also, Turner won't end the year in the top 4-5 RB in points.

Think about the offenses:

Jaguars:

1st Down - MJD Run
2nd Down - MJD Run
3rd Down - MJD Screen or dump pass

Vikings:
1st Down - AP run
2nd Down - Incomplete Pass
3rd Down - AP stuffed or pass to Berian / Schiancoe

I disagree, I believe that Forte should be #1 in PPR leagues, he had 52 catches as a rookie, and probably will have about that many this year as well. Just a matter of opinion though. I think Forte will play in a better offense this year as well.

Weltall, I like how you're completely ignoring what makes AP so dangerous. He'll wittle away yrds with little 2-3yrd gains then go 40yrds for a TD.

Edit: Not to mention that MJD isn't proven yet either. He's the only one of the top 5 RBs that hasn't had a 1,000+ yrd season. Granted he does get exceptional yrds from his catches as well, but so does Forte (on top of rushing for 1k+). Performance > Predictions.

I disagree completely. In fact, I don't think Forte should even be drafted in the Top 5 this year at RB. People forget he had a 3.9 yard per gain rushing last year, and sure he had a shit ton of catches, but I doubt Cutler will be dumping down to Forte all year like Orton did. In fact, I think Forte might break 35 catches this year if he's lucky. I really don't like him.

As far as the draft, I'd probably go MJD AD/AP/Whatever you want to call him, Turner, and then after that, god knows who. I guess you'd HAVE to take Forte, but I don't think he'd deserve the Top 5 in a normally good RB year.

Also, Rivers being the second QB taken in that draft made me lol.

The more I mock this draft, the more I like the 8-10 spot. Skirkle's draft was terrible. Rivers and Rodgers before Brady, Williams in the 2nd. Barber...what the fuck.

I'm with Welt. I like MJD 1, AD 2, not sold on Turner (they were making an argument for him #1 overall on espn...wtf). I like DeAngelo Williams more than most. Dude didn't have a single fumble last season, and ended the season like a fucking freight train.

MJD has never even been a starter, and he has always been strong in fantasy. With literally no one behind him, a quarterback who is scared to throw over 8 yards, and a bad pass-protecting offensive line I will go MJD all day long.

I think MJD *should* be one of the top backs taken, but I'm worried because while he has the talent, he's not exactly surrounded by talent down in J-Ville. I'd be scared to take him tops again. I did that last year and outside of a few games, it bit me in the ass and cost me important games.

Was gonna say, I'm not as high on D.Will repeating his performance. Dunno why. Just got weird vibes about him. I had those vibes that he'd do well last year and he did in the second half. Not getting em here. Who knows. If I land him or something, maybe I'll have to sing the other tune and pray he works out.

i think deangelo has more upside than a lot of other tier two backs, he showed 0 signs of slowing down last year. i likes slayton cuz those receivers keep the box from being stacked, and i like chris johnson cuz he catches a decent amount of balls and is a threat to house it every time

I won't take him at 4 regardless. I'm praying MJD falls to me at 4, but I know it won't happen. I don't really recognize some of the names who draft 1-3. Are they new? Hopefully they're clueless homers who take a 2nd rounder in the 2-3 spot.
