Auto-draft coming up in my primary FF league with my local buddies. There wasn't a practical time to do a live draft, so the guy running it just decided to make everyone auto to make it as fair as possible.

Auto-drafts always fail for me. Anyone have any tips on the pre-draft ranking to get a better outcome?

Best tip I can give is be aware of how many of X position are going to be taken by Y point in time. Then adjust your listing so that if a few guys slip you don't end up taking 5 RB with your first 5 picks.

Yeah, that's the problem. I'm not too sure what the priority is for "roster needs," and that's what always screws me.

I always end up with like 5Rbs 1 WR, or 3 Ks and 1 QB. I'll sniff around and see what I can find.

Crabtree? Really? I bet you could have gotten someone like Mike Walker, Mark Bradley, even Robert Meachem instead of Crabtree. Is the league only 1RB? If all goes well in ARI, and Boldin stays upright, he's going to outproduce Fitzgerald. You have a good RB stable - Moreno/Bradshaw (especially Bradshaw) have low floors and high ceilings imo. You'll be fine @ QB, and Cooley is solid.

Did you guys do an auction? Otherwise, how'd you land Fitz-Moss-Jennings? I'd take Palmer over Cassel anyday. Meachem is a good WR5, but not a WR4. Then again, you'll only be playing him when your other guys are bye. Isn't Meachem week4 bye? So is Fitz...if he's week5 bye, so is Jennings -- maybe you should have gotten an NYG receiver to be your bye week filler (Hixon, Smith, Nicks). I don't know if McFadden can produce as an RB1 on a normal team, but if Palmer pans out, and your WRs play somewhat close to expectation (even if anyone goes down, I'm pretty sure Moss will have his multi-TD games to bail you out), you should be fine with McFadden. What RBs did you forego to get Addai/Johnson?
