Besides maybe changing receiving yards to 20, what else is wrong with it?
I can see where you are going with the Fitz/McClain thing, but I think the QB scoring is fine.

Brees = 316 Yrds/game and 2~TDs
Thats about 14 points per game.
Gostkowski(NE K) = 2.25 FGs per game, with about 60% being under 40 yrds, 36% in 40-49, and 4% in 50+. Gets 2.5 PATs per game.
Gets about 10 points per game with this setup.

But man that kicker is just scoring way to many points.
Infact, lets take Brees' last game last year.
386 yrds, 4 TDs, 1 INT
24.65 Points in one game.
Compare that to the 17 points which was the highest I could find for a kicker in one game, and none of those were with any 50 yard kicks (granted I suppose I didn't really look too hard but you get the point.)

The way it is setup a good QB is going to outscore a good Kicker any way. I don't see why the kicker needs to be worthless.


I think if you maybe gave the QB his 4 point touchdown back it would be more to what I think you want though. At the moment your talking about some crazy ass team thats going for 50 yard FGs every game, and then a kicker whos making every single one.

You're missing something - you can't just compare the elite players at a position and conclude it's logical. You have to view the entire sample size then make a determination.

Based on my quick calculations (not including 350 yard passing milestones or fumbles lost - going to generously assume they cancel each other out), the top 5 kickers all outscored the following QBs based on last years stats:

Eli Manning
Brett Favre
Kyle Orton
Ben Rothlesburger
Matt Ryan
Clutch Delhomme
Matt Schaub
Joe Flacco
Trent Edwards
Jeff Garcia
and more...

Also in the quick analysis I did, Gostowski also outscored Tony Romo. I personally think kickers outscoring QBs is stupid, which is going to happen if we keep things the same way.

Like .25 pts for XPs. I mean shit, they're SUPPOSED to make those. Negative pts for missed FGs...b/c as it stands, kickers aren't going to be penalized for missing...

I suggested either buffing TD pass to 4 or knocking FGs by one. Or Both.
If it is possible on yahoo I would say knock XPs to .5. If you knock them too low you get them to the point where it's not even useful using a spot to draft one because they will all be scoring the same anyway.

The yahoo scoring system is honestly pretty crappy and tough to customize accurately, but making XPs half a point and lowering all FGs by 1 point would help quite a bit.
