So, let's see. Looking at the BCS - teams ranked
9. USC
10. Iowa
14. Miami
15. Houston
16. Utah
17. Arizona
All lost.
13. Oregon and 19. Oklahoma State are still playing/about to start too. Going to be some major rearranging in the teens next week - a good week for 20. Wisconsin to have a dominating victory![]()
Can I see a ranked tar heels team again, after upsetting Miami and Va Tech.
Shit I'm over here actually cheering for Notre Dame - beat Pitt! Make it 7 teams losing!
Spoiler: show
So USC loses, Cal loses....
Assuming Oregon beats Arizona State tonight (likely), if both Oregon (@ Arizona) and Oregon State (@ WSU) win next weekend, the winner of the Civil War will go to the Rose Bowl.
And I have a ticket.
Oh man, a massive much needed win for UGA but at the price it cost in losing AJ Green and Bacarri Rambo is a very steep price. I did like seeing our penalties down after the 1st half, and both teams really played as teams...but Auburn's offense just seemed to be sputtering at the wrong times and UGA took full advantage.
Another good game in the rivalry, but it would have sucked to lose after how much UGA had to pay in terms of talent. Good game.
Now for Notre Dame to fade into obscurity, and it will be an awesome night in downtown athens.
I was watching highlights earlier today and thought that VaTech's all white unis were an abomination. Then I turned on Oregon. Do they really have 12 different unis for every game?
First tiebreaker would be head to head. Oregon State beat Stanford and would have had to beat Oregon to finish 7-2, so Oregon State would go in that case.
If it's a situation where three teams finish 7-2 and are 1-1 against each other, it compares those records against the 4th place team. So if Arizona beats Oregon, and Oregon beats Oregon State, leaving Arizona, Stanford and Oregon in a three way tie at 7-2, it would compare their record against the 4th place team (assume Oregon State). Since Arizona and Oregon would have beat oregon State but Stanford lost to them, that would eliminate Stanford, leaving the winner of the Arizona - Oregon game (in this case, Arizona) to go to the Rose Bowl.
FFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFFUUUUUUUUUU TATE
looks like next week UT can pick up a win against Vandy and make it 10 SEC teams bowl eligible, with maybe 11 if Miss. St. can win out.
Pussies defending pussies.
Even Colorado tech has a tougher schedule than Texas, enjoy your DII competition. Next you'll be telling me about how trouncing Wofford college by 80 shows the Longhorns are head and shoulders better than any team in the SEC besides Bama.
I forgot to congratulate you on beating the brakes off of Wyoming a few weeks back. It's a good thing that team and conference is wac, right?
I cant wait for you guys to cap off your great season with a victory over the French Culinary Institute in 2 weeks.
