Yeah I noticed that. I wasn't paying attention to the signal the ref made after the play, but I've got a feeling Gundy didn't know the clock was still running either. Why else would he take 30 seconds to call a play in a 2 minute drill?

edit: also, Houston's QB looked amazing in the last quarter. That guy's only a sophomore, or was it junior this year? I know it was partly the system, but the system doesn't buy that much time to make those throws.

There was no question the guy ran out of bounds on the play before heh, and yeah oksu definitely didn't notice the clock or somebody would have stopped it, even the annoucer went "wait why is the clock running?"

But yeah, needed 2 scores anyway, there was another screwy call in the end zone, pretty sure pass interference doesn't get called off on a tipped ball when the interference happened before (and possibly allowed) the tip. But regardless, a long way to go from there to actually turn it into a win.

Picking Ohio State to win tonight. Big 10 is respectable this year, Penn State is better than they were last year, we'll see how good OSU really is tonight.

Dear God...

Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way. Yes, I think the refs were awful and screwed up the TD they overturned and screwed us out of two seconds.

That being said it doesn't matter.

ND had the game fucking won. You have the ball, with the lead, and all you have to do is run the clock down. And what do you do, pass it fucking TWICE and stop the fucking clock TWICE. I can see being a little ballsy and passing once, but beyond that, wtf...

If ND runs the ball, they force Michigan to burn timeouts and likely force them to kick a FG on their final drive instead of having the extra time to get the TD. The extra 2 seconds was a non issue.

Also Forcier played fantastic, I would be full of shit if I didn't give him props for the game he had.

I'm so fucking pissed at Weis though. I've defended him a lot the last couple of years, but I can't here. The last drive was just handled like utter shit. Not only that, he called the deep ball to Tate a "safe pass we've been hitting all day" and then said he passed on third and long because it was a question of either "playing it safe or trying to win the game". That just boggles my mind.

Anyways, commence the ND nut-kicking, I'm ready for it.
