I don't know why people criticize divorce so much, I mean I realize someone who touts "family values" getting a divorce seems hypocritical, but it's quite worse to live in a family that's highly dysfunctional than it is to live in a solid single-parent family. I am divorced, and I'd sooner subject my kids to the US prison system than force them to deal with watching my ex-husband and I emotionally destroy each other.

I don't know why people criticize divorce so much.

It's not the divorce itself, it's the enshrining of the institution of marriage as something sacred that should not come under assault by Activist Judges and the Gay Agenda, or some other force trying to dissolve it's pure meaning. This is interlocked with the GOP's bewildering obeisance to 'traditional family values.' She isn't being criticized for the divorce. She's being criticized for not sticking to what she pretends to believe.

If the story is true, then she's attacked the media that rightfully broke what was a true story.

If the story is false, she debunked the rumor using facebook, one of the methods she's decried for spreading false information.

How can such a politician be so short-sighted? Has she never played a game of chess in her life? Does she not have any professional political operatives working for her?
