I didn't see a thread posted on this beta anywhere on the first 3 pages so here goes:

Started trying to obtain the beta this past wednesday when the downloads were "started". It turns out that only IGN and Fileplanet had the downloads and BOTH sites were actually charging people to download the files to do an open beta. Not until friday did Crime Craft finally concede and fix this issue.

Now for a review on the game.

The game handles sluggish, even with the mouse sensitivity cranked to max it still takes forever to turn.

The character "creation" gives you a set of 4-5 hairstyles (Most of which are bad) and 3 different tops and bottoms.

PvE: There are instances you can join up with other people and fight against bots. The bots can basically destroy you within seconds if you fight more then TWO of them together. They home in on you no matter where you are as well. (If you try to sneak up on them you will find grenades just thrown over things right at your position and turn a corner to find 5 bots blasting you down).

The weapons handle horribly, recoil is terrible. If you fire more then 2 shots your weapon now points into the sky. The shotgun takes 4 shots at MELEE range to even kill a bot. Yet bots can drop you in 2.

Even rolling can not save you, as they home in on your person and fire every bullet into your chest. You stand a chance by running up to melee them, which is an instant kill. But if you are not aligned PERFECTLY the system regards it as a miss, and the bot in turn melees faster then you can anyways.

The UI is basically Tabula Rosa. You have to keep hitting Tab to bring it up, then remove it away so you can actually move around (You cant move with the profile showing).

The game tells you NOTHING about playing it. Like how you have to left click 3+ times to even talk to an NPC. How you have to queue up for an instance, then click on the instance in your chat log. Then you are brought to a black screen where if you DONT click the mouse button, that's all you'll see.
