Aion client downloading - Is it suppose to be this slow?

I haven't broken 75KBs/sec yet and this is going to take forever to download. Is this normal or something messed up with my connection? I looked on bitgamer and some other torrent sites but couldn't find a torrent to use. Searched on yahoo and on BG to see if I could find a solution to this problem (or if it was normal) didn't find anything though that address this issue, so guess I just have to make a new thread to ask. Thanks.

Probably not the answer you want but it took upwards of 25+ hours for me to download mine :/

I've been getting mine off FP, I'm about 3 hours in with an hour left. Seems to have averaged mid 300k/s.

< 30mins to go now, so looks like it took me 6.5hrs to dl it from games.on.net, way better than the 1400 mins it was going to take from the NCsoft client.

Beta or CAion?

Beta is over in a little over 15 hours so its almost a waste unless your gunning for the last beta weekend.

Downloading the beta right now, I'll probably play straight through to the end of this beta. Then I'll be ready for the final beta event too.

Considering downloading C-Aion also, I just thought it was weird you have to buy time instead of a monthly fee. NA Aion won't be like that will it?

Chinese and Korean players are use to a "Pay for your time" system so thats why its like that.

More then likely it will be a monthly fee like every other MMO. In either case Pooks did the math and if they kept the pay-as-you-go plan its only more expensive then 15 dollars a month if you play 8 hours a day for 30 days so either way win-win.

Also C-Aion has 5 hours free and I bought 100 more hours(40 units) for 5 dollars so its not like it cost a lot to get more time.

Oh I didn't read the whole stickied thread I just seen the part that said it was 1.08 for 8hrs, assuming this is inaccurate then. Because if that's the price for 15$ you get 111hrs which comes to a little less than 4hrs per day for a month, that's still a good amount of time and I probably wouldn't use more than that, but ya never know.

Uncompressed the file and stuck it in the NCsoft folder, but launcher is not showing Aion as being installed. Must have missed an important step or something I guess.

Fixed: Skipped over step 7 apparently.

Now it's installing 408mbs which is going to take 2hrs ugh!
