    folders not remembering viewing options

I have a couple folders with a bunch of subfolders and files that I like to order by 'date last saved' but the folder will not remember that I chose that when I view that folder again, it will revert to the old layout and then have to re organize the entire folder every time I view it. This probably happens for other saving options but date last saved is what I use for my largest folders and sort by name is for small ones that don't really need reorganizing anyway.

If you're using Win7, see that little pane to the left with "Libraries?" That's your problem. I still don't like it really, but every folder listed under a category will keep the same view-style.

I mean, if you take the time to set it up proper, I'm sure it's fantastic. I miss the old way though.

I'm using vista. I tried some solutions found on google, some involved changing some values in the registry or something like that so i avoided them since it looked easy to mess up (something about vista not being able to remember more than 400 folder places, this sounds like what is the problem as I have a bunch of folders but doing the changes looked sketchy as they weren't spelled out clearly). Another solution involved just clicking and unclicking a check box but that didn't seem to work. It's really annoying as one of the folders takes like 20 seconds to reorganize and I enter and exit the subfolders often so it does it every few seconds.
