I hate to even think about limiting the potential progress from certain directions this could go, but I hate to think about the potential lack of respect for life in the process, too.


Does it seem wrong to prevent the possible saving of lives and improvement of quality of life for multitudes of people for the sake of "a ball of cells?" Absolutely.

unless i missed something earlier in the thread, since, like most of these types of threads, once they hit a certain point i have motivational issues with reading them even though the subject matter is of interest to me.

Dont be fooled by vague sentiment greenhills. Plow lives in the gray area of undefined beliefs and semantics.

He is fighting for the "life at conception" argument, while simultaneously attempting to post it as more than just an opinion, and backing it up with loose statements such as "reasonably detectable" and "potential lack of respect for life".

In one hand he says it is wrong to prevent saving lives and life problems for the sake of undeveloped fetal tissue, and in the other hand he is stating that any of these conglomerates are potential life, and people have to take responsibility for that life. He is ignoring the difference between "life" and "personhood", and trivalizing the birthing process.

As much as he tries to deny it, Plow feels that any woman that gets pregnant w/o prior planning should be forced to incubate that embryo, regardless of that woman's desires. He is a shining example of a member of society that could have been a contributing highly educated individual, but instead dropped out due to poor planning and the unwillingness to do the responsible thing, and postpone child bearing until he and his GF were ready.

I cant imagine the liberal/educated/atheist version of Plow that we would have today had he not dropped out and begun his unskilled labor work to support his "responsibilities".

Now we just have another Palin supporter.

Well lets say that muslim men have gotten more attractive over the years. Long ago the women didn't find them that attractive but now it's just unbearable for them to see the skin of males. Would you be fine with men being REQUIRED to cover up so that the women don't sin anymore.

When he has nothing left to argue, he just chases his tail in circles in an attempt to attack people out of context. There's been countless examples of this over the last year or two, maybe more before I was stupid enough to try to waste my breath on him. The minute you say something he disagrees with, he starts breaking out the personal attacks to try to gird himself on the throne of self enlightenment.

The real problem with Neosutra is that he's just as stupid as any extreme right wing religious zealot and twice as vocal.
