    Quest Help Thread...

So we have all had a quest or two that is so vague like "Go find a clue!" or something and it doesn't have any hint other then the current zone your in on where or what your looking for that you just can't figure out.

So I think its about time we have a quest thread so for the people who have completed the quest or know where something might be for the hard to finish quests can help others out in completing them.

Right now I am stuck on 2 quests for Elyos level 10-15 area, they are Belbua's Treasure and Odella Recipe.

The first one says go find the hidden treasure at the farm... So I looked around and can't find shit on top of I have no idea what I am looking for.

The Odella Recipe quest says buy some Verteron pepper for his recipe but I have no idea where it is.

Thats all I am stuck on for now, maybe someone can help me out with these...

From the scarecrow run to the lake, it is the wine barrel behind a small building. Most furthest away on the left

As for Verteron Peppers, I believe I found them from a merchant in the main city where you start out at in that map.

Just get into a habit, when you make a new Elyos character and you hit Verteron Keep at level 10, buy a pepper and stick it in the corner of your inventory. You get it from the Food Merchant, he has a tab called ingredients.

I haven't encountered a quest 30+ that was so vague I didn't know what to do.. Well maybe a few are that way, like the bee hive quest involves you running around the map looking for the queen bee if you don't know the 4/5 spawn points.. Some quests just actually involve you needing to read the text instead of looking at the map markers. The recipe quest says u need to buy something from the Verteron cook (or close to it). The treasure quest I recall tells you its at the farm, just doesn't mark your map, so you need to run around the farm looking for something you can interact w/

This game doesn't try to redefine the quest system, so unless this is your first mmo it's mostly straightforward. If you get lost, just go into your quest menu and read the text as it will often tell you what you need to do when the marker doesn't do it for you.

Most of us skip through the 3 pages of bullshit text and don't read it

I do the same, but when you get stuck its often faster to read the page of bullshit vs tab out and look something up or go to a forum and ask a question. No other mmo has been like FFXI. (I know I came off as an asshole w/the response, but don't know how else to say it w/o sounding like such... though it wasn't my intent)

I looked at the quest in my log, read it and it says what I posted above...

Now unless there is a way to get the 3 pages of bullshit to show up that I skipped through when I first accepted the quest without having to abandon it and track down the quest giver then I'm all ears...

The first thing that person says to you when you talk to her about the quest is. "Listen closely, for I will only tell you this once..." I remember it perfectly. So you really can't complain when it gave you a warning!

The only time I've been stumped with a quest was due to a translation error of the ENG pak lol.

Haha, yeah everytime I wish I could go back and read the text the quest description is hella vague. Wouldn't hurt for them to drop a page of information in there besides "Go find it! lolol"

I dropped the quest because I didn't feel like wasting any more of my time trying to find it lol

Easy way to find it (I later found this out, took me awhile searching for an answer through AS) is to stand at the entrance/exit of the City, look a little left and there will be a cliffside between the road to the Farm (Road on the right) and the river (on the left), there's usually one spawned right there

That quest is loads easier once you have seen the item before and know what to look for. The first time you're like "I'm looking for a thing on the side of the cliff..." lol. I've noticed quite a few times they spawn under the little fungus ledge things.

lol, how about the Wedding Ring one? where you have to find it "in the mouth of the river" even though it's not really in the mouth of the river.

There was a little outpost on the left side of the river.. its just a bit past that, next to the edge of the water, where there's a small cliff next to it. Its purple and its called jewelry box.

I found it eventually, but it was like that fossil quest, so vague.

I think some of that stuff is just bad translation that they haven't gone back and fixed lol
