I imagine you can disconnect from within the PacketiX program

You can; right click on the connection in the VPN manager and click Disconnect.

Edit: Region 3 seems to be a lot smoother using the VPN, granted I didn't test for very long. Very handy info nonetheless, thanks ^^

Download this first:
PacketiX.NET Secure Internet Service - VPN Client Installation
then download:
MobileFree.jp VPN

Install the PacketiX program and save the MobileFree.jp.vpn file to desktop or somewhere you know. Start the program and click Connect > Import VPN connection settings and navigate to where you saved the mobilefree.jp.vpn file and import that. Then after that's loaded, double click it in the window to connect to the vpn client. If it doesn't work you might need to restart your computer, but in windows 7, I was good to go from there. It might make everything else you do on the computer laggy though (vent, internet), but you can disconnect from the VPN when you're not playing.

Basically what it does is reroute your connection through Japan first before China, bypassing whatever issue they're having. It's not 100% perfectly lag free, but it's tons better than the 30+sec ability delay.

This broke my internet.

While Aion is running I cannot access any internet for any other site yet I am running BG and Aion but I try to open another page and I get a "Page Load Error" and "Address not found" error.

What the hell did this do to my computer?

The VPN is OFF right now and it says I am CONNECTED to my network but it says in the lower right tray the 2 computers with a red X and mousing over says "a cable is unplugged"

What did this thing fuck up thats not letting me view other sites?

hmm, if it's off, you should have no problems... maybe try right clicking your current connection and repair. For me, it only slows down website loading, but doesn't block it entirely.

Its weird now as the X with the 2 computers is still there saying a cable is unplugged but everything works fine after restarting and even tho I uninstalled the VPN its still an option on my network settings.

It shows the 2 pc icon with the red x because the connection info file/setup is still on your system, evident by the entry in your network settings as you have seen. If you aren't going to use the vpn anymore, you can delete that connection in your network connections (control panel > network connections) for the vpn. After that the icon should be gone. Otherwise the icon will be there until you disable the vpn "device", you can prolly find it in the device manager.

VPNs basically take over your network connection and connect to single server and route all your network traffic through that system. Once you have made a vpn connection, you are not part of your home network anymore. Web browsing to BG and such is slower because you are going to the system in japan which then has to come back to the states for the BG server, and then reverse that to get to you. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to access other websites after vpn connected, but a vpn layer puts a few more things between you and the destination to cause problems.

Can play normally now. But... my skill bars were empty O.o but that's not much. But... All the tips pop up again for me O.o And most importantly: my maps became undiscovered again lol >.<
