So.. My girlfriend went out today and brought me Aion Collectors Edition Pre-order but I dunno if I can run it, but I don't have the heart to tell her that so I ask you BG..

Will a Triple-Core 2.1Ghz Processor be able to run Aion until I can afford to buy a newer tower?

It's been awhile since I played WoW, so I think I can run it, I know I could run it on a private server with WoTLK and all that jazz.

Me either hence the generic response about WoW.

I run wow with about 30 FPS with like 10 in dalaran(laggy as hell city) and I run Aion with Firefox up with 5+ tabs, vent, music and I get 75+ FPS mostly over 100.

So yea its awsome and 10x better looking.

Also, I am interested in this collector's edition, as I wasn't aware of one. What type of nifty stuff do you get? Most of the time they're never worth the extra 30$ but sometimes it might be.

2 day early access, closed beta access (which is about to end), ingame items depending on where you pre-order, first month for free, and a few other things if I remember right. (I work at GameStop -_-)

I personally find it to be a bit more demanding than WoW when maxed out. Everything @ full settings @1920x1080 I only get around 80fps where on WoW I'd typically be around 100ish, but they're quite close. I use fps sync on wow though since there's really no need to be pushing more than 60fps anyways.

That's just the regular edition though, I thought maybe he meant there was a different version than that, maybe it came bundled with the strat guide or something. I don't know what you need a guide for when you have the internet, but hey some people still use them!

3GB Ram and Vista 32bit. That's all I really know sorry.

With the collector's edition in Australia we get..

The Aion Collector's Edition includes these in game items, Black Cloud Wing Set and Earring, Special Title, Exclusive Color Dye, and 2 Character Emotes. Also included, a 6.5" hand painted Asmodian Goddess figuirine, Aion soundtrack, and a double sided Aio

The wings is an extra 40 seconds (?) of flying and the Earring is Extra HP/MP.

Dye lets you change the colour of one of your peices of equipment and the special title.. I dunno.

That's some pretty nice bonus stuff, I like the figurine. Depending on the price.

Can You RUN It?

Run the test for WoW: WotLK and if you pass I'd say you're good to go.

My laptop failed because I am running Windows 7 lol...

I run Aion fine on my 1.87GHz duo core at 50fps. It just doesn't look anywhere near what i want it to. I lose all the nice shiny blurr and i can never see anyone coming from far away to gank me >.>

I wouldn't trust those online test. Go to your start menu > run > and run the program "dxdiag". Screenshot and post the first 2 tabs for us, system and display. That'll tell us pretty much everything we need to know about your computer.

Also, just so you know, just passing the minimum requirements might mean you can play, but it also can mean you'll be playing at 5 fps.

As i recall this game uses the Cryengine, so try out Farcry 1 for PC if your really concerned which is a pretty old game and would run very smooth on any system still that's probably 4 years old in specs.

There's a downloadable CE that just comes with the ingame stuff and there's a CE box that sold out ages ago, is $10 more, and comes with an Asmodian figure, the Aion soundtrack, etc. as well as the ingame stuff.
