Yeah desecration blows goats, so skip it. Get the desolation i think its called? the one that blood strike procs additial damage for 20 sec or w/e. Honestly, the changes free'd up some room so you have more to play around with and tailor the talent tree to your playstyle.

So how are people handling Black Knight on heroic? My pug ended up winning by single-target dpsing down the ghouls in p2 but this was still hard for the healer since the tank is running around keeping as much aggro on mobs as possible. Leaving them alive and letting the boss pop them wasn't working because it was just way too much damage on the tank over time.

When I did it on my Druid earlier last night, we AoE'd the shit out of them. Most of them died, so when he did corpse explosion on them, it wasn't so bad (only 1 person died).

When I did it on my Priest later in the night, it didn't go so well. :<

Oh, and I'm loving the change to faction rolling on PVP/rpPVP servers now. :D Trying to decide whether to roll a BE Priest, or port over my nublet Rogue from another server to play with when I get frustrated and need "alone time" away from my guild. ;3

With the introduction of these new 230+ilvl items, will Ulduar still be as heavily raided now?

Not after more of the coliseum released. I compared the 258 gear to my own, and I get an average of...

350-450Hp/MP 70-100AP and .8% -> 1.2% crit per item (thats with no enchants/gems)

OK, i'm slightly confused, are JC gems still prismatic? Because the now yellow gems in my blue sockets are still working they just don't count towards socket bonuses.

Edit: they're no longer prismatic but for now it seems you don't have to replace your old gems.

In addition, if the meta gem's requirements are not met, that meta gem will not be activated, and you will receive neither the meta gem's bonuses nor any socket bonus from the item containing the meta gem. You can socket the meta gem without meeting the requirements, but the meta gem will remain inactive until you do meet its requirements (which can be done either by socketing new gems, or equipping new items containing the required gems).

There are purple gems that fit blue sockets.

On topic, has anyone tried the new heroic and how well geared would you say you need to be to enter it and do well.

Well, when I tried to stick a red gem into a yellow socket it wouldn't let me.

You can stick any color gem into any color socket, this has been standard behavior since the inception of socketed gear; you just don't get the socket bonus on the particular piece of gear if the sockets don't match.

I dunno what to tell you mang, check your addons maybe, or see if one of your gems is a unique-equipped

I've put 3 blue gems in a RBY socket piece before, two red gems in a BY, etc

It definitely works

You're not trying to socket more than one unique-equipped or unique (3) gem by any chance, are you?
