I demand a SS of HD Al'teaiu. Also, does anyone else think its lame that SE is re-using everying from FFXI? It would be nice to see some creativity in making new zones, rather than just recreating FFXI zones with FFXIV graphics.

I wonder... With how amazing these environments look are they gonna have any transition as you change through zones or we just gonna zone into these areas. I really hope they don't go the FFXI route.

From what I understand having zones is a lot less of a lod for their servers to carry, isn't it? I don't mind zones, though I'd love a seamless world. As long as we don't lose /tells and other messages when we zone I'll be ok.

I can't see how SE could get away with not having a seemless world. Its almost a standard these days for MMORPGs, as it really immerses the player into the world.

Oh, really? I don't know how it all works lol, only other MMOs I've actually really sat down and tried were Ragnarok Online and Guild Wars, and neither of them lasted more than a month for me <.<; so I don't know much about newer MMOs

When the male / female difference is mentioned, it makes me think back to old school Dungeons and Dragons where males had more strength and a higher maximum strength, where females were more physically weak but more wise/intelligent.

Just a thought, as they seem to be emphasizing that a lot.

Nobody said WoW is more immersive.

Protip. You would have a better argument if you dropped all the WoW and focused on the fact that the Final Fantasy series is based around zones. That zones are a trademark of the series. Zones allow the graphic artists more freedom, ect, ect.

WoW looks cartoony and you dont get the same wow (lol) factor when you look a pictures of the environment. Imagine if they did that with XI back in the days. Now picture how it'll look in HD.

The one image with the wizard and the floating crystals/rocks doesn't seem to be CGI, ofc blurry image is blurry but it looks like IG graphics as do the rest save the port city which looks like an artist rendering.

I have decided that the world (not the characters) looks on par with Oblivion's graphics. Maybe even a little nicer.
