I'm sure there may exist both genders for galka/mithra, but I highly doubt it's a selectable race if SE decides to use them in the game.

In one of the blurbs of story, they mention Limsa Lominsa is a popular 'hub' capital, so I think it's more a Jeuno analog.

Actually, I don't think this is the case at all. Limsa Lominsa really strikes me as a tarutaru name, and it's apparently on the South Shore, which is where the Lalafell live. It doesn't seem like they are sticking entirely to FFXI stereotypes.

Ul'dah: Elvaan
Limsa Lominsa: Taru, Hume
Gridania: Galka, Mithra

I was being satirical towards some earlier posts. Thought the "pirate" place would be full of galka though.

I'm pretty sure it said the elvaan where a tribal and ancient race, so I would think they would belong in the forest city.

Nice to see that they are saying racial differences won't play as large a role, the whole "Taru have exceptional int" made me worried about playing hume BLM again.
