Anyway, does the story intro seem familiar to anyone? Replace the empire with the Shadow lord and his beastmen. Replace the city states loosely binding together with the 3 nations of vanadiel joining under the banner of Jeuno.

Also, I bet those 12 goddesses will be something like the avatars we know and love. Shive, titan, etc..

Hmm, I tend to play Thief/Rogue characters, but unless they expand the choices a bit, looks like I won't have that this time.
As it stands now, I'll probably focus on Hand > Land > Magic > War.

Ul'dah reminds me of Jeuno, in that I'd imagine it's got multiple "tiers" to the city.

Also, the more they progress, the more seduced I am by XIV. Methinks it'll be time for another game hop soon if the character development system is win.

It's pretty tough to say since I doubt SE has released all the info there is to FF14. I'm more inclined to say there will be male mithra just because it's going to be different.

sorry, you are correct I didn't fully read it I was to excited. but I am assuming that there is still at least a city and some towns that might still be there in ruins or in the process of being re built.

It sounds like they did for awhile before leaving. The point is there's something unknown about this empire that came in and pwned Eorzea, which is what's causing them to act weirdly.

It seems like there's nothing really for them to gain from Eorzea, but I'm sure that some crazed lunatic came into power over the empire and is coming to find crystals to destroy the world or some such.

if you look at one of the Screens on the main website closely, mainly the one with green light it looks like there is plenty of some kind of crystal sticking up above the trees.

The only reason I thought they were crystals was because of FFXII, there was a part in the main story line and the formations look similar.
