The only thing I am having trouble grasping is what a female Galka could possibly look like, male mithra is easy.

I'm assuming they won't be using the same storyline of galka's using reincarnation, if I remember that right. (although I should stop comparing they aren't supposed to be galka's I'm sorry.)

Anyway, does the story intro seem familiar to anyone? Replace the empire with the Shadow lord and his beastmen. Replace the city states loosely binding together with the 3 nations of vanadiel joining under the banner of Jeuno.

Also, I bet those 12 goddesses will be something like the avatars we know and love. Shive, titan, etc..

In the Famitsu article today, there was a very obvious secrecy related to the questions asked about possible remaining unannounced races and also the sub races indicated in the updated character descriptions. Either they just want suspense for fans or they have more character variations planned. I like to go with more variations.

And yes I was looking for a potential Jeuno in there myself.

Or they copied the html(or whatever script they use) template for the Humans(which they made first) for Mithra and Galka and forgot to trim them down before taking the site live. Which would explain the site going up and down a lot last night. Trimming down code.

Actually, I don't think this is the case at all. Limsa Lominsa really strikes me as a tarutaru name, and it's apparently on the South Shore, which is where the Lalafell live. It doesn't seem like they are sticking entirely to FFXI stereotypes.

Limsa Lominsa though is a fishing and pirate town or whatever. So that makes it sound like the Roegadyn city, since they're the fishermen and pirates. However, they've had multiple races start in the same city before.

Instead of Galka/Hume: Bastok, it could be Galka/Taru: Limsa Lominsa.
