Wouldn't armor be a better tell at "HP" than a weapon? I hate speculating stuff like this...so I'm not going to go any farther. Once again, this isn't a leveling system, so you aren't going to go magically from level 75 HP to level 5 HP. Different battle system, different stats.

You level MNK to 75, get 2,000 hitpoints, and unlock BLU.
Now you have 30 hp and can get squashed by a tiny mandragora. <.<

There's no sense in that. With the new system, it sounds like that might not be possible.

The way it sounds now, not only is what you said not possible but it sounds like the more jobs you master the more broken you will be. In the end everyone is going to be a Freelancer/Mimic from FFV picking all the best abilities/spells.

Thats what I think as well, SE claimed it was a tech demo back then in 2005 and then later on said it was the next gen mmo but didn't say XIV. It's an early concept, but it's so amazing I will start there if it still looks like that.

What I meant was that how far you've progressed in a class won't clearly define how many hit points you have. The parallel to your description is that if you take a high ranked class that has high defense armor (or HP) and decide to switch to a low rank class, you'll be forced to put on low defense (or HP) armor and that would be how your HP is adjusted. So yes, that is completely fair in my opinion.

lol, yeah I saw the post someone made about the vampires so I made her pale gave her red eyes should have put some blood dripping from the corner of her mouth.

Not exactly feeling the blonde cat. Make it blue like Meracle from SO4. Vampire one looks cool but can you imagine all the emo people online trying to get in character... lol

ah, I was going for gold eyes with the brown skin but yeah loaded through the browser vs in photoshop the gold does look kind of green.

So... I heard people at another forum saying that they want flying option in FFXIV just like wow/aion

I hope SE won't include lame stuff like this in FFXIV >.>;; it takes away the sense of exploration.
