FFXI Races in FFXIV pictures New

Issue is they need to do macros correctly, they were very limited in XI. TBH... if I even have to use my mouse to play I'll be rather angry. That was one of the things I hated most about WoW (do not turn this into another arguement... just a statement of personal preference >.>) having 30 little blocks with 30 different abilities mapped to them clogging up my screen at all times just annoyed the ever living piss out of me.

You have to remember I'm left handed and I play with my mouse in my left hand, so my key combinations are limited on my right hand lol.

I'm Left handed but I use the mouse in my right hand, found it more useful to be able to draw/write with my left hand while using the mouse in my right hand at the same time. Also I use to use a wacom table a lot so I'd use the mouse in the right hand and the stylus in the left, I always wanted 2 cursors... lol my mind goes in too many directions at once.

How do you guys feel about the addition to voice acting? Voice acting with subtitles or ingame text. I doubt they'll go that route (so much work so little time). There's way too many NPCs that will have to have unique voices, or they could reuse them lol. Then there's also multi-languages (or just ENG/JP) they'll have to do. Personally I wouldn't mind as long as they use tasteful voices. Would it be welcomed?

I was the first person to demand voice acting in here and i agree with you.
And people did point that wow already have Voice acting for main missions

They should include voice acting specially for 2010 game, for example lets compare it to FF11

Voice acting should be in Expansions main missions and nation missions only
Side quests/Npcs at cities voice acting is not required "Even though many games already do that like oblivion etc" but for the size of mmorpg game it's not responsible to request voice acting for every npc/quest however if they don't include voice acting for main storyline then SE is just being lazy.

I also want Voice chat for party members only at least

I wouldn't mind the voice acting at all to be honest. I think it's a huge plus in story driven games. You really wouldn't have to have a ton of voices, a lot of games have a couple different voices per type of npc (little kid, old lady, etc) and just reuse them. I really hope they do a better job with quests this time, not like other games where you have to quest to level, that's one of the the things I actually found refreshing about FFXI, but at the same time, make them worth doing.

Yeah, that's a good idea. They wouldn't have to do the entire game and the cut-scenes would much more enjoyable.

Actually there is many quests they don't even tell you where the hell you suppose to go/do and had to use FF11 wiki to find out

Your screen prove nothing all what i see is ants maybe post a screen in the middle of a fight instead of being 2 miles away plus this is modded wow that keep the UI at minimum not the standard game. even with all that being said it still look ugly as hell i guess posting good screen shot of wow fighting monsters is not possible so just give up guys even in silver breeze screen there were no players or enemies on screen and it was on extreme high settings and modded we already moved on i didn't play wow and i have nothing against it i just don't like the UI that's all why can't people get that? we already saying FFXI macros were lame FF11 is not the perfect game so does wow.

I don't recall asking to have the situation explained to me or anything. I got the general point of the whole FFXI vs WoW thing, and I feel that there is no need for it. This is a FFXIV discussion forum. If you, or anyone for that matter, feel that there should be some FFXI vs WoW discussions about any aspects of those games, there are sections for that.

I hope I don't come across too rude here, but those are the facts. I don't understand your need to call something "fugly" on here or basically continuing the argument, even when I asked you nicely not to do that. :/ WoW users have opinions about FFXI and FFXI users such as yourself have opinions about WoW. That's the way it'll be until the end of time. Also, using the "get a life" card when talking about a game is so old, and overused. There's no need for that.

So anyway, what we'll do here is drop this topic all together, here and now, and move on to more FFXIV Race discussions and more pictures. Think we can do that?
