hooray, ginger Hyur. lol
Also.
Seph... Please, for the love of god, stop. Everybody's sick of your pointless arguments, and you sound like a total tool every time you post something.![]()
Kaluuki these arguments is not 1 sided and you know that , people who bring them up should shut up, if you are sick of it point fingers towards them not me , i have no arguments, if i say wow got an ugly UI and i don't want FFXIV to copy it I'm free to say so and that's a personal opinion, and i said it in FF thread i didn't enter WOW thread and said that.
You should say enough for people who can not stand anyone saying anything about wow but you wont since you are one of them
In short gtfo do you think i care about what you say? the only tool here is you when you think what you say matters to me.
So i did some research about first ingame trailer not a teaser about FF11

@40MB and CHANGE hell they did even count 0.3MB back then
SE plan to show FFXIV in August 18 ~ around the same time kinda for ff11 reveal @july 18 2001
Also no wonder FF11 was limited by 56KB connections,40MB was MASSIVE back then rofl, you can't accomplish much "online" with 56kb connection, aion require like 1MB connection for stable solid playing experience, i remember in metal gear online when i limit my connection through the options to 512KB the game become totally unplayable hell i even DC lot of times from the games i played with speed limited to 512KB
It been more than 7 years since FF11 release.

It's interesting that SE required 300.000 User to "Break even"
This rise 2 questions:
1-What will happen to FF11 after FFXIV release? I'm pretty sure user base will be less than 300.000 user since current user base is 500.000 and i expect it to drop very sharp because many people will move on from FF11 to FFXIV
2-I expect their required user base even higher for FFXIV since the game costs more than FF11 , do they require 500.000 or so for FFXIV? anyone here thinks that FFXIV will do better than FF11? user base wise~ FF11 was steady 500K for 7 years "Started around 300k and peak was 650k"
w00t Thanks Rowe! :D
can you make the white haired one please? lol

I have more work to do on the this PSD file might take a day or 2 to get to a state I feel ok with sharing it, but I will share it when done.
Active characters doesn't equal number of accounts and I think it's what they refer to when they say 300k Users.
WoW is ugly
FF14 look amazing so far, i cant wait any longer
I just hope they will still have HNMs and Dynamis <3
They said it's going to be more casual, but they also mentioned that the game would have hardcore elements in it along with the casual. I would expect for there to still be NMs, but it's probably going to be different this time around, instead of camping.
I really liked the NM's (Rare spawns) in WoW that would randomly spawn in the instance.
They did this mostly in the early low lvl instances, but it was really nice not having to camp the NM. If that Rare spawn didn't pop up in the instance, you could just run out and reset the instance and go back in. And it wasn't a 1/100 chance that they would spawn, which was also nice.
Dunno. I was never really keen on the idea of instances, because I felt like they took away a lot of immersion from the game. I liked being in a dungeon and running across other people, especially if it was a white mage when I was being aggro'd. lol
Sure, camping was a pain in the ass, but it was also kind of fun. I'm thinking this time around SE will probably just increase drop rates and spawn rates for NMs so it won't be such a grueling task... which would probably be a smart move.
yeah, instances are way less immersive than tabbing out of the game to watch animu between windows
Agreed. I played both WoW and FFXI to the endgame, although I'll admit, I played much more FFXI endgame, simply because I preferred it, but I seriously liked endgame better when there was other groups to compete with, also, like you said, I really liked encountering other people, expecially if they could save my ass.
You could still encounter others obviously outside of instances in WoW, but.. I played 4 different servers quite a bit, and compared to FFXI, the WoW community... It's so hard to find people that are friendly. Obviously there's some, but lots of people will just completely ignore you, or their only reason for playing is to quest and level up for themselves. In FFXI, walking by someone in a dungeon, they'd often ask for help, and I'd go out of my way and help them, vice versa too, and that really built the friendship aspect of the game, helping that guy would get me invited to more groups, etc. It made it a real MMO. Why play an MMO when you can o start to max level alone? Might as well just make it an offline game, add better graphics, good voice acting, more unique gameplay elements that are only possible in offline games, cause so many MMOs that are soloable to endgame almost seem offline.
That's my favourite part of XI. All MMOs have their little perks though.
