I want ingame models to be like Ingame models for MGS4 on the PS3, These are not a ingame cut scene~ ingame footage during direct play, it's a 2008 game, SE should do better for 2010 game, MGS4 use same models for MGS online, You can take pictures by pressing a button during playing.

Theres not as many people playing in the same match as there are standing around idle in any town. They need to cut down on the graphics in game in order to preserve performance. I'm sure no one wants to have everyone look like CGI at the cost of needing an i7 cpu/1GB Video/6GB Ram just to run the game on medium at best.

If you're going to compare in game graphics at least compare it to another MMO. Actually nevermind don't. Last time that happen... Well we got about 6-7 pages of arguing left and right. lol

I just hope XIV keeps it somewhat difficult and different like XI. I played *ANOTHER MMO, not naming names cause I don't want to fight with any fanboys*, and I don't want to play another MMO that requires me to spam the same 2 button sequence over and over ever again. Way too easy.

They can scale the engine low-medium-high settings.
The tools and already there.

Why do you assume that i have any kind of sovereignty? because it's clear that i don't and i never said i do.

I had a point for my post, FFXI looked as we knew it because of PS2 limitation~
PS3 limitation is far from that and i expect SE to show best graphic available for the console.

IF FFXIV looked worst than a 2008 game that is limited purely on PS3 power i would be disappointed specially if you run the PC version on best graphic card/quad core/etc it should look at least on par , being online game got nothing to do with how character models look like, better looking characters won't lag you, having a system that is not capable of displaying the graphic is, that's why i did suggest "scaled" graphic low-medium-high.

Explain~ why does game have to look worse for better online experience, what does good looking game got to do with anything as far as i can tell as long as the hardware can run it, it's possible. PC users with weaker system should run the game on low settings/resolution. Games on the PS3 already have 256 player on 1 map death match "Mag" 64 players on resistance 2, and 32 player on killzone and there is zero lag and those games are waaay fast based than "role playing game"

I think there may still be a chance FFXIV will still have a new race or 2, SE likes to hold back info. SE is a lot like Apple in that way, they keep their best secrets for last. So I think it would be good for them to add at least 1 new selectable race.

I really wouldn't doubt another race, being that Eorzea is supposed to be like a totally different era and more diverse geographically speaking. Then again, part of me feels like they probably won't, to keep the familiar feel to FFXIV. Either way, I'm okay with the old races. They look fantastic, so I don't mind whether there's new races or not.

What kind of logic do you use? online servers surely wont break just because game texture look better if the hardware was up to it, also this is client hardware side not the servers, it would make sense if the hardware was not capable of displaying powerful graphic but if it could why not?

If the idea is to let as many people to play the game, since not everyone got access to powerful pc why not scale the graphic, SE already did state that they will use "latest graphic tech" available for FFXIV and i didn't ask for super computer graphic level, I'm asking for models that a console with 7800GT and 512 of ram can display , it's more like artistic skills than power skills at this point.
