FFXI Races in FFXIV pictures New

I like the new Galka, Mithra, and especially Elvaan female designs (or w/e they are called now, I'm not gonna bother trying to spell them for now). I would like Tarus IF they didn't have those creepy eyes. Humes look...normal enough.

The 4 different class seperation thing kinda reminds me of what they did in EQ2, but Crafter has me baffled. Maybe they are kinda like Chemist or something, or not used for fighting at all...eh, I dunno.

iono I'm not too hopeful on the elvaan female models actually. The thing that always bothered me about ElvF in FFXI was their broad shoulders. If you compare these new ones with the mithra's seems to be the same deal.

Though ingame always looks different so we'll see.

Me too and it should be similar considering those that have been posted. It is getting difficult to be patient, even though my computer is no where near ready for a new game.

I think the people who are disliking the taru change are just like that because they are used to the way tarus look already? I mean Teletubbies were used to make fun of the current ones already..
I thought the normal taru's looked pretty horrid when I first started FFXI and they grew on me, so maybe it will work the same way once you forget FFXI and remember its FFXIV

I disagree actually, sounds very much that you can have all jobs on the same character.

Seems the weapon chooses your class, therefore if you equip certain weapons/gear, you'll change your class.

I like the way the taru race looks now a lot better than "new" version. They look too much like dolls imo.

The elvaan and taru race look retarded lol.

The humes look almost exactly the same as their ff11 models.

The mithra looks better.

The galka is by far my favorite. The galka looks so badass in this game, way better then their ff11 models. No stupid tail and they have muscles instead of fat now. Don't be confused by the goofy galka in ff11.
FF14's galka will be hella badass.

I hope races get race specific job traits too. Like galka race should be able to swing 2 handed weapons a little faster or taru should be able to evade certain conal attacks that are waist high lol. (like a guile sonic boom lol), they wouldn't even have to duck it lol.

When I first played FFXI, I tried as an Elvaan and didn't like it.. then tried Hume and didn't like it. I finally settled on Tarutaru but at the character selection screen, they were creepy looking too.. but in game they were great. Still are now :D
