If so, is it worth it? Getting annoying that 99.9% of the articles you have to be a damn insider member to read them all, especially for baseball. And it seems football and basketball are migrating towards that side as well.

Not sure if this is the case anymore, but they send you ESPN the magazine with your insider subscription. Magazine itself is a large sized rip off of SI and usually not worth the read. Either way a waste of money for editorials and analysis you can find elsewhere.

ESPN's insider system is just a way of saying our shit is better than other the shit at other sources, and we bet you are willing to pay for it.

I've been a member for 10+ years. I honestly don't know if it's worth it, I've basically never not been a member. I got it initially to reduce the cost of my ESPN fantasy teams (back when they were the only game in town and you had to pay for them), and it paid for itself. Now it just renews every year and once a year I notice it on my statement. It is nice to not have to worry about starting an article and not being able to finish it.

As another poster said, you do get the magazine as part of it, which is cool if you're into that, but kind of annoying if you're not, and just makes my recycling box fuller. I tried to see if there was a way I could have it quit being sent to my house, but it's not really an option. Basically, they need to keep the distribution on the magazine up high enough to charge enough to make revenue off the ads.

Not at all. I used to be one, you just get to see the same NFL rumors you see on PFT or what not.

I wouldn't worry, other news outlets will end up reporting them anyways.

I never had the account, but I've had friends that do have it. More or less you are paying for a magazine subscription. The info on their site can easily be found elsewhere.

My sprint phone has some sites that are easy to access. Espn is one of em. It's not the full web, just quick access (sprint vision?). I can use full webpages but my phone is shit so it's a bitch to use, and near impossible to type on most pages.

You may laugh at this, and I'm being serious here, but I have loads of feeds on Twitter that I follow. For the MLB trading deadline I felt like I was on top of everything for once. Also, several athletes, coaches, teams, and owners will break stories themselves via their feeds. More often than not, they give links to said stories as well for reading and more details.

I have it - But really I only find it worth it because I do all my fantasy sports though ESPN.com and it's nice to have access to all the premium fantasy articles on the same page you're league is on.

ESPN magazine is a coaster and the regular articles are worthless.

Buster Olney is wrong so often that I honestly think that he just makes the stories up off of the top of his head. Plus, knowing that it's ESPN I bet you that 90% of the articles would be about the Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, or Cubs.

I have insider access. Rumor central is retarded, but I like have access to in depth fantasy breakdown that requires insider sometimes.
