FFXIV Hardware Requirements

Was wondering if my 8800gt, e6400 dual core and 4 gigs of ram would be enough to enjoy this in release. Running windows 7 64-bit. FFXI ran okay on my system but that pos was the worst port I ever played on pc in terms of making any use of my graphic card.

Maybe. your pc could quiver in fear and die with 14, your pc could handle it fine, or your pc could be very well equipped to handle 14... We do not know if your pc can or can not run it satisfactorily...

Would this be reasonable to play FFXIV? I know they haven't released reqs yet but do you find this a decent enough setup?

Won't that be determined during the alpha? I know people with quad core as well as dual core got in. Magitek has a dual core and got in.
