Just lock the shit. There's no point in needless speculation until there are hard facts. There's also arguably better specs information in the main thread, since people are posting how much CPU/GPU the game is taking.

I'm really interested in seeing some PC specs and frame-rates also. I'm ready to upgrade my GPU and possibly CPU depending on FFXIV's hardware requirements.

My balls aren't made out of steel so I wont toy with O.Cing past the Dummy O.C that came with my Mobo.

Should be more than enough to MAX the game once I boost ram and upgrade GPUs.

Yes but the videocard is utter shit unless you don't care.

edit: Can always upgrade that later down the road if you got the money (and are not satisfied with the 5450).

Well I did the alpha on my middle-build on purpose, wanted to see how it would run.

C2D E6550 2900MHZ
GTX260 (o/c'd to 280 frequencies)

Average FPS, 15-20 (game engine caps at 30...)

Felt too laggish overall, definitly need a build better than that.

Doesn't look like it uses multicores either but I could be wrong... my taskbar is definitly stuck at 50% CPU usage.

Thanks for posting that. Now I know that I should upgrade my GPU since the 4870's are only marginally faster than the GTX 260's. Probably gonna grab a 5870.

During the JP alpha someone with an I7 series released SS's of what appeared to be activity across all cores.

They also showed that ff14 consumed very little cpu usage, perhaps 15%
It was very impressive.
