I remember there was this store called Microplay, and at lunch we could play on consoles in this 16+ booth place and you could play street fighter 2 or mortal kombat etc for like 75 cents a half hour

I actually rarely, if ever, touched fighting games growing up. I would always go to virtua fighter when I went to an arcade though, because I hate the game with the stupid combos.. just straight fistkicking in virtua.

Microplay was an amazing chain of stores, there's still one that I know of in the city but I'm not sure how awesome it is anymore. I had a membership card though.

It was kind of an innovative approach to the hobby shop, very welcoming, you'd have tables with guys playing Magic with a seat of LAN players on C&C in the background and a couple of couches set-up around a TV with Golden Eye in the back, go in and rent a game for a week for next to nothing and you could still rent NES games when N64/Playstation were the in systems. Always fucking packed.

I remember this time when my friend only had a case of energy drinks in his house to drink. I stayed up for 3 days straight until I beat all of the quest mode or w/e. Shit was super fun @___@

I had a 24 case of cherry coke/24 mixer case and..something else when I was 15 and moving to a new house and had the old place to myself for the weekend, my best friend and me had a huge nacho/pizza tray and did the full weekend staying awake until insanity and stupidity then we crashed for a day.

It was the stupidest sugar burn I've ever pulled off to this day, I remember joking around and biting through a can of cherry coke and ending up getting sprayed like a pornstar in the face
