Funny cuz I generally don't seem to care a whole lot about what people say, but this being someplace my gf / her friends frequent, all of a sudden it hit home. Guess I'm growin' up.

Sorry to play devil's advocat, but I mean really, the dude could have picked anywhere to kill people. No place is safer than the other; Your gf probably frequents clothing stores too, if anything theyre more at danger for robbery.

Not sure what you're getting at really, and I dont mean that in a rude way, I just.. really not sure what you're trying to say? Of course everywhere is dangerous. But, in a way, when someone says, hey there was a shooting in X place, or Y place, I'm like damn, that sucks, someone cracks a joke, I dont mind. When its someplace my girlfriend / her friends very well may have been shot at themselves, all of a sudden it bugs me a lot more.

Yeah, its that specific gym they all go to. Since my GF is currently in England, I know she's safe, but it hits close to home. Regardless, she still isn't 100% none of her friends were involved.

The most interesting thing was how he felt he couldn't get ahead at anything, while going on dates, getting promoted, etc.

i posted this basically to see if i was weird or not for reading & putting so much thought into things like this (every chance i get) - and jotaru i understand completely how you feel & your response (thank fuck-all your woman was far away & safe).

but yeah skjie, the whole time reading it i start wondering how his mom or brother would feel after reading it (they probably don't care, if they were described accurately), or how the girl on the date with him would feel after seeing the news (is the girl mentioned in news articles as his ex- the girl talked about in this? i can't tell).

it's pretty insane seeing this guy's thoughts pour out when he in fact was reasonably good looking (i'm a straight guy, he doesn't look hideous to me?), pretty well off, and had a great chance to just enjoy life. it's like he convinced himself awhile ago to not try and see the good parts of life - and i'm no happy go lucky bastard as it is.

I read this guy's blog, and after the need for vomiting passed, I noticed that he was constantly being asked out or going out with women. WHAT THE FUCK! Half of his blog complaining about not getting laid... Dumbass had so many chances. I wish I believed in hell so I could watch this fucker burn.

Not saying what he did was right/ok/justifiable, but while it's obvious he did get many chances, his complaint is that he knew he was doing something wrong, but couldn't pinpoint it, and instead of being told what it is he was doing that was wrong, he would get flattery and people trying to be nice.

Wow, read all his journals before looking at his picture. Not at all what I expected. Seriously, this guy could have had no problems with woman had he just had the confidence, and possibly some therapy.
