looks like Ri_ou maybe an A and not an R? cant make anything else out at all tho. nothing even on zoom looks like a English letter.

I'm stuck between Limsa Lominsa and Gridana(spelling?) I can't decided which one I want but I know it will be one of the two, I love the idea of both.

I'm beginning to think that the race you pick decides where you start, however. What with the background on Roegadyn and such.

I'm pretty dead-set on Limsa. But I'm starting to think that maybe I should play a Hyur female this time around. That blonde model in my earlier post looks awesome. I get this feeling the model I used for FFXI is the same gatherer one from the new pictures... Not liking it.

I can't decide between Limsa and the woodland one myself, they both look great. I don't see why you would be pigeonholed into making your character in a specific city just because you're the race for that city, after all, that's not how it was in 11. There might be benefits again for correlation though. Another starter ring maybe?

I have a harder time deciding than I did in FFXI atm!! :/ Each of those cities appeals to me in a way, so I guess I need to wait for more info and screens of them to decide

Limsa is just awesome in general

City on island etc, and I love sea. But a forest fortress is a damn nice thing too, if it's in a thick forest/jungle etc harsh environment then omg yes D; And then the desert... well running in QSC doing Kupo missions I was thinking, damn why SE never released an expansion with an Egyptian Theme. I would love running around tombs, pyramids etc... I hope we see something like that in FFXIV!

I liked Gridania personally. Just seems so much more welcoming and not so much "Crowded city of metal buildings all over". Also sort of reminds me of some of the Myst games lol.

I really hope that it's not race specific though.

They probably wont restrict your city choice since they want players to enjoy the game with their friends from the start. Like in FFXI.
