Going to visit some friends out of state, so won't be on for most of this week. I gave my brother instructions to keep an eye out for my supplier and keep on buying/trading gugs for me while I'm gone.

@0/1,021 on gugs. Currently in 3rd for most gugrus turned in. Closing in on Enneisevoli's 1046 turned in, and from there, Jeyman's 1140 is all that's left. I have just enough gil to buy enough gugs to put me in that first place position, so one of two things will happen in the next few weeks: Either I get my ebisu rod, or I get the record. Either way, I guess I get *some* form of accomplishment.

I am in 2nd for highest total ebisu fish turned in (@1393). The only person ahead of me is, again, Enneisevoli, with a total of 1825 (779 lik + 1046 gugrus).

Edit: Blackmageviper's stats throw this off now, so just do it in your head.

I felt my 746 on Liks stupid enough...but yours is simply ridiculous.

Keeping with the gungnir theme on this page, turns out it has a latent effect... really stupid luck with ebisu items. 1/6 lik, 1/22 gugrusaurus.

All bought so not much of an accomplishment in anything but spending gil. At least I made the people selling Gugrus on Phoenix happy for awhile.

Just because you have a more efficient way of completing the quest rather than going to Rabeo or leveling WW on you/a mule and dragging it along to fix the rod every time it breaks takes nothing away from your accomplishment completing this quest. Congrats!!!

Yeah, the main reason I never really expected to fish any of them was that I was already committed to Smithing by the time I started fishing seriously. Even leveling WW on a mule seemed too cumbersome, as I only have one account and would have to dbox.

Had a respectable amount of gil from my obsessive saving, but not enough to ever be able to go for a relic weapon so I decided to try for the next best thing. :D

I was in the same boat. I have 100 cooking on my main, 100 leather on my mule, and wasn't going to de-level either of those for WW to repair a Lu. I was saving for a kraken at the time and decided I liked fishing so much that I was willing to possibly lose my kraken fund to finish Ebisu. Luckily my total was around the "average" of 400ish total Ebisu fish which only cost me about 3m after selling Lu. I obviously had made 3m leveling fishing just selling fish to npcs and more than made that back after finishing the Ebisu and selling 3 LSmates enough fish to finish theirs. It's funny to think about how many people I've "helped" finish their Ebisu now, I generally keep a mule up in Selbina with fish and always check the log for people /emoting happiness after buying a bunch of fish lol.

Heh, wouldn't buy it since I think it is against ToS, but wouldn't mind to borrowing it until I can fish up enough gugrus to get my own ebisu ;p
