Thanks, I knew it was a long time but damn, x4 will be great. I've got a chart ready, I also noticed the 20min reuse problem with a Pelican ring on the boat. Until I find help, I'm happy I know I can land them with the Seagull ring, with Albatross I guess I won't need Seagull and can stick with Pelican's for skill ups.

The guy I buy fish from can repair my rod too, so I really lucked out.

i got my ebisu a month or so ago, 1/134 gugru, 1/291 lik, and on a more frustrating note... this guy in my linkshell went 1/2 on lik and 1/9 on gugru and he's only lvl 29 fishing.... h8888888888888

I ended up catching 16 gugs but didn't really keep track of anything. Except one notable trip when I hooked 6, caught 4 of them and snapped 2, I was pretty impressed. 3 hours total as I left to go out for the night halfway through my second imagery support. Lu shang's broke so many times, I think 5 that were repaired and just as many trips to Rabao when he logged off. To say the least, I've stocked up on altep rings. It's annoying with rod breaks, but hey, 16x15k is way more than I'd ever make in Talacca.

This is all with no albatross still, I can get a large majority to 0 in the short time.

I can't catch them with absolutely no rings. I use adv support and a Seagull ring from mmm, they only stay on the line for 16 seconds but that's enough time to real them in. Without a Seagull ring or if support wore off I could hardly dent them past 50%.

Funny you mentioned pirates. I wound up in Mhaura and support wore off, so I decided to ride to Selbina and gut my fish. On the boat over there I couldn't get them past 50%, one even 90%.

I doubt it considering that ebisu barely gives any kind of real benefit outside of fishing up lik and gugru for other people to get ebisu, and extending the cap limit by 10-20 randomly, not to mention the fact that anybody with fishing lvl 28 can buy fish and get their own, its kind of fail

It's pretty obvious he meant you can start trading fish at level 28 and get both items long before you're able to start the quest. Not that you can actually get the rod at 28.

Woooo that was quick! Bought 30 gugrusaurus from my supplier, no dice, bought 32 more from a bazaar beside Zaldon and it had the shoot on the 28th trade.

Talked to a friend of mine, worked out a deal for 32 Gugrus... On the 6th Gugru, got my shoot, 1/7 total on that...

Now a slight problem... I'm only 38 fishing :\ Lol... inb4flames
