But on a serious note, this information has been available really for years. Michael Crichton touched on this subject with his research for his one book State of Fear. There are always going to be a debate on whether or not there is global warming occuring or not no matter how much or how little carbon emissions are released in the air. Debate on it funds people for research.

Sorry for slight necro, (and I know I've mentioned this before) if you actually are interested in this stuff, how the world works, what causes global catastrophe's, and a generally accepted theory of how the Earth was formed, you should check out the Catastrophe documentary by the BBC.

It can be pretty hard to find so I've uploaded the first ep from my collection, if people are interested I may upload the rest (only 5 eps)

Catastrophe - Birth of the Planet

That was pretty awesome, even if just for the graphics, thanks.

If you've got the upload time to spare, I'd definitely watch more!

Turns out its a channel 4 docu, doesn't really matter. Glad you enjoyed it, yeah when I get some time I will up more eps, I uploaded ep 2 just now (I'll up the rest some time this week):

    Catastrophe Ep2 - Snowball Earth

This is the ep that suits this topic, and explains how the Earth cycles work and what causes them, and also explains how an Ice Age gave birth to multi-cell organisms.

Catastrophe Ep3 - Planet of Fire

    Catastrophe Ep4 - Asteroid Strike

    Catastrophe Ep5 - Survival Earth

Not sure if that last one will work or not... It uploaded in like 5 seconds and my upload rate is no where near that good, but it says it is the full 350mb, and I streamed it on Megavideo and it seemed to work fine so... eh.

I'll re-up it again if it doesn't work.

Anyway that's all of them. Enjoy.
