Low-man Swift Belt?

Myself and some of my friends are in need of swift belts, but we are only four. Some other friends could maybe be persuaded to show up, but otherwise, could the Elf and/or Mithra NM be low-man`d by 4 people? If it is possible to 4-man, what would the best setup be? Our (50+) jobs are..

Me (mithra): DRG SAM COR PLD WHM RDM BLM THF BRD SCH SMN
Elf: SMN BLM THF
Elf: RNG WAR RDM PLD THF DRG
Mithra: WAR BRD SAM RDM BLM SMN PLD

We have all fought the Hume, Elf, and Mithra NMs before (in a larger group though). On the mithra NM we tried the Holy Circle intimidation strategy during chainspell, but we didn`t see a single intimidation go off. (This was before the July update, however.) Also the mithra fight before, in the larger group, was really long, more of an endurance fight, it seemed, than the others. Any advice/help would be appreciated ^^

Have any BST50+ friends? Two Familiar'd Blubber Eyes should destroy any of the Swift Belt NMs. I've heard that a Hume BST can even solo their NM, though I don't have any experience with that personally (being Elvaan).

I stopped doing any of the races aside from Mithra as that one was by far the easiest to low man - have done it many times with 3 people. I don't see it listed, but I imagine you will have a challenge 4 manning any of them w/o a nin tank.

NIN, THF, BRD, WHM or NIN, THF, RDM, WHM

Thf can easily co tank using SA and will be a very solid DD/ Tank for that lvl. Bounce hate between the NIN and THF and you should have plenty of mp left to cure spam if Chainspell becomes a problem.

Mithra is the way to go for low man, no doubt. If you can get more than 4 people, though that stops being sooo low man, i'd go Nin, Nin, Thf, Brd, Rdm. When she chainspells, diaga her to remove blink and dispel with the brd, she seems to give most focus on buffs from what I saw.

Just... don't skip the thf

NIN NIN RDM THF can do Hume easily, and the 2nd NIN is mostly an insurance policy against EES. A BRD just makes it all the easier.

NIN NIN RDM, NIN BRD RDM, NIN THF RDM, NIN THF BRD can do Hume, though I don't recommend doing it without a THF, my swift dropped without one though!

Did the mithra one with NIN/DNC RDM/WHM THF and DRG/BLU ages ago, the thf was naked and only had daggers.

Why do people think Mithra is easier than Hume? o.O

As people said, Hume is really easy with a nin tank...I wouldn't be surprised at all if nin + rdm or nin/dnc+brd could duo it, but I've never tried.

Nin+rdm+brd can easily trio it, Nin+nin+rdm can more safely trio it, with maybe a little more problems (like someone said, it's a buffer for EES, which shadows down during EES could wipe the first group), and nin+nin+rdm+brd shouldn't have any trouble at all 4manning it. I Also don't see why a thf couldn't sub in for the 2nd nin if you want TH.

Me and my 3 other friends had an epic 4 man on the hume. I somehow got one shoted with a 1.1k+ EES and the thf and blu swaped hate for 5 minutes. Was pretty fun 15 minutes with the belt dropping. ^_^!

I've easily Duoed the hume one several times with 2 bsts, just each 2 hr a blubber eye and bring a couple pet healing items to be safe and kill the hume NM, it's really easy.

Oh yeah, don't forget to go without TH2. We were 0/8 or something until we brought a thf friend and then we were 2/2 =)

A friend and I did this as BST/NIN on the Hume NM twice, I went afk during the fight because how easy it was.

For hume, brd rdm nin = very very easy, just don't get EES'd

NIN NIN WHM THF never failed us on the Hume. THF for drops and enmity, SATA with double NIN is easy as fuck, just get his stupid RNG hume ass to come far enough.

I think that two reasonably skilled NIN's could probly duo the Hume NM, maybe with DNC subs?

Seeing as you only have mithra in your group, go with mithra like everyone else said. PLD, WHM, THF, DRG (or any other DD) would probably be your ideal setup for that. I've found taking a THF helps immensely with TH (of course). NIN tanks are usually better for this fight but I've taken PLDs with no incident before.

after 12 runs i started just going BST BST with a token THF, 1/18 as of two months ago

It's not like other NPCs, its RA can miss with shadows up, if that's what you were referring to.
