Elezen male for me, likely white hair or red shades with blue or green eyes. I will stand around gaping at the gorgeous scenery for weeks. I will start off familiarizing myself with the guilds and questing Leves while focusing heavily on the Disciples Of The Hand and if possible to do two, Disciples Of The Land. Disciples of Magic would be my other interest. If there is chocobo(transportation animal) raising or gardening, I will be interested in that.

I will probably choose to play Roegadyn and probably play the typical melee / tank job. But I may play a mage job as well since one day, as a Galka, someone said it was not possible for me to be a BLM of FFXI. I think I play a pretty decent BLM.

Im torn atm which route I will take. I usually pick male characters however since I wanted to be a BLM, and didnt want to be a taru, I picked Mithra. Depending on how in depth the character creation is might determine what I do, as well as what the stat differences will be. However in the mean time ill just plan on carrying over my current XI character.

So in thar regard ill pick Miqo'te, and Ill try to match my current 8A model, but it just depends on how the character creation is set up. Ill probably start in Gridania most likely, and again, this depends on future information. I usually pick a DD class, but in XI mages were more appealing, so I went the BLM route. So for now ill go with Disciples of Magic as a Thaumaturge.

Definitely going to be checking this when it comes out. I'll probably start two boxing very early on to get a leg up (if that's even possible in this game lol). Haven't decided if I'm going to be a fe/male character. I think I'm sticking with Lalafell tho if I can get a few more screenshots of them. Still going to go the mage route but will try melee since the system makes it look easy to be everything. Also need more in game SSs of starting areas before deciding which one to start in. Would like it if there was a possibility to play on the same server with some old friends.

This game is so hype! Very excited.

Definitely playing this game first day. Most likely a Elezen Gladiator/Archer class like I did in 11.

Im torn between Lallafel and Hyur. I really wanted to be a taru in XI, and was planning on it in XIV but the Lallafel look kind of awkward in comparison to the picture of the hume fighter. I will have to see how the game plays out during beta before I decide on anything final.

As for job I will probobly go down either the tank route or a black mage style job. I have a feeling in XIV black mages will still be the backbone of damage so well see.

I want to be a Lalafell when I play FFXIV, all my friends say the Lalafell race looks dumb and stupid but I disagree! After I start the game I plan to become a MAGE or a WARRIOR, hopefully there are RP servers because I want to express myself in the language of the Lalafell. I feel this race reflects me IRL, we have so much in common! I am very averse to cold weather(BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR>.> <.<) and I found my way to America via child prostitution trade routes. I hope to craft because I feel I have a certain knack for it! In FFXI I had 33 fishing(I know don't ask me how I did it, took FOREVER) and 45 cooking(no, I don't buy gil). I hope to start in Gridania, I LOVE the trees, so beautiful! Do you think those are the in-game graphics? Either way I am in need of a new computer system so time to start saving~! I can't wait for the new job system, lvl up with your weapons just like in FFIX(my favorite FF, I plan to name my character Vivi4lyfe, plz no one else take that name!) I'm going to fight millions of monsters on my main weapon and then switch weapons @ the last second and gain UBER XP :D! You guys are welcome to try this idea when the game comes out but plz don't exploit it I don't want them to nerf it to fast.

Tarutaru or Lalafell onry didn't like the way they looked at first. But after seeing them beside the other races they look great.

Very excited for FFXIV, hope it brings back all that FFXI nostalgia goodness. I'm going to role Elzen and I'd like to play a variety of the classes but specialize in a Warrior type class. Cannot wait for this game to come out!

I am going to be an Elezen "Tank" at first.

My goal in FFXI was to be able to tank any HNM/Boss in the game. So i lvled PLD first, then saw how great NIN was at tanking and how certain PT setups leaned to different classes of tanks, so i maxed out NIN as well.

before i quit FFXI (little over a year ago), i reached my goal and i was able to tank all the HNMs/Bosses in the game. Pretty happy with that.

So that will most likely be my goal in FFXIV.

Will definitely be playing FFXIV. Most likely pick my tarutaru counterpart, lalafell unless male mithras are playable and interesting. My favorite class/job in the final fantasy series will always be SMN or anything to do with avatars so hopefully there's a class like that.

I'll definitely be playing XIV when it comes out. Hopefully I can keep the same character name as well.

When FFXIV comes out I'll most likely be playing a Miqo'te. When I read that they will be "more cat like" it sounds very intriguing... I'm all for different things, it makes stuff more fun sometimes...
However, if the back of their clothes are weird like how XI's Mithra's were, I will probably play as an Elezen. Pointy ears are fun, haha.

I will most likely play as a Disciple of Magic. Hopefully Summoner will be an option, and that's probably what I will play the most of. I've always tended to go towards Magic, but a Disciple of War might be a lot of fun, and a nice change, too.

All in all, I'm just very excited for FFXIV and I can't wait to see how more stuff will play out. It's gonna hopefully be a very good and solid MMO.
Until more info comes, everything I said above could change... But probably not [=

Play right from the start as a Lalafell ( hate this name lol )

Will push the blacksmith job as far as I can to rape the early game economics if possible, otherwise will mess with the Mage class path.

I'll be playing a female Taru (Lalafell, whatever, I'm using old names) again, hoping for a class that is a good mix of magic and melee (I absolutely adored Blue Mage and thought it was a great job and it was perfect for me.).

If the Tarus end up looking a bit dorky I may go with a female hume, but I refuse to play a Mithra (sorry guys.).

Really excited about this game~ Going to buy a PS3 for it, haha.

I love my Tarutaru, so I'm dead set on making a Lalafell Paladin -- or whatever is closest. As for areas, I've always been with Windy, so I'll be picking Gridania this time around. Limsa looks pretty, but it seems like it'll be a bit overcrowded. XD
