    I would imagine that they are chewy because of the fibrin, a stringy protein, and would taste like iron because of the iron in your blood.

    like a rust flavored piece of beef jerky.

    to be perfectly fair i don't think i could distinguish the taste of iron specifically from most other common metals.

    No, they're not flavourful at all. The one in question was tiny, though.

    And copper tastes quite similar to iron. In fact, I think of the taste as copper more often than not.
