"That asian" was fucking hilarious in The Hangover, and also happens to be a doctor. Maybe the Raw crowd just wasn't his forte.

As far as Adam McKay's stuff goes, Anchorman and Ricky Bobby were good, Step Brothers was awful, but this was directed by Neal Brennan (of Chapelle's Show fame) so I'm optimistic.

Your post is completely without redeeming value. Its certainly not oscar-quality but comparing it to db-evo is bad form. The director is decent, piven is good, the rest of the actors are ok, the plot is completely ridiculous which is good.

If you honestly feel that way you might want to just stop posting in this thread. My pre-judgement of this movie places it somewhere near Dirty Work on the comedy scale, which is worth at least one viewing if not a few more down the line.

Honestly, I love Piven in Entourage. He gives Ari such life, and god damn if I haven't seen a more animated actor than him.

His opinion isn't even an opinion, it is exacerbated libel based solely on a trailer. You need to have good sound reasoning to bring up Meet the Spartans as a metric for movie quality. You can't just throw around the worst movie of the decade like that.

I think this movie looks pretty funny, but is it coming out the same week as District Nine? If so I might only see one or the other. Stupid work cutting my hours down.

If you're keenly observant you'll notice that all my posts but the first are, in fact, replies to people flaming me.

Trailers for comedies actually do tend to be fairly representative of the final product. See: Superbad, Knocked Up, The Hangover. For something like Inglourious Basterds they have to sell a niche product to a broad audience, of course they're going to focus on Brad Pitt, Hitler, and the one-liners.
