I feel 90% of agnostics don't even know what agnostic means, nor do they know there's multiple categories.

Tell me about it. It really bugs me when people do this (it bugs me a hell of a lot more in real life. I always feel I need to correct them but I hate to start a religious debate.)

I usually just go "Agnostic what?" which seems to confuse them...

But yea, shoulda gone with none over agnostic/atheist. They are pretty much one in the same at this point any how.

In order to define something, you must invariable specify what that something is not, and in doing so, the definition you have created cannot exist without its opposite; for if it were to do so, it would no longer be defined according to the variables you used in its description. Because of this, one could define either as a religion, since disbelief is in and of itself the belief that something cannot be.









More importantly though, how could you forget a religion like Jedi in your poll? I find this to be an incredible discrepancy. You should rectify it at once~

Agnostic/gnostic concerns whether or not you profess to know for certain.

You can be a gnostic theist, agnostic theist, gnostic atheist, agnostic atheist...

doubting the cause, and the ultimate knowledge, so it means an agnostic would disregard religion because is very clear on the cause. but they do believe in a supreme being, well some of them don't even know.

there are different types of agnosticism, if you wanna be specific.

I grow up with many other religions around me.
my families are buddhists, I went to christian oriented school (pray every morning/afternoon, christianity classes, etc) through a better part of my teen, I lived next to a mosque in a largest muslim populated country.

however, science > religion

Yeah I just figured that the hundred diferent brands of christians got lumped together. I am baptist myself, but whatever it's all the same really.

Actually, as fun as it can be to have two sects clash, I find it even better to have two people of the same sect who find moral disagreement with the other based on principle having an arguement to be so much more entertaining. There is only so far you can interpret before word becomes black and white and you must agree on something; where the opponents define that point though will never cease to provide entertainment.
