I like what the site says UNDER the job things:

    RELATED ITEMS:

Apparently trying to create a new form of equipment.
Riga Whore of the sub-style black leather, with armor skirts for women, GM's full-face something so evil, etc..

The new furniture, black king in the planning and KADIAN Ark Angel figures.

    New "harassment ends."

So.. AA Furnishings, metal skirts and a means to combat RMT tells?

Well Tier II status resistance bar spells are already in the game just unused, both single target (RDM) and party buffs (WHM). It sounds like you will get both increased resistance against that enfeeble and also slight increase to the element associated to the enfeeble, something like +30.

    Barblindra II (Resistance against Dark)
    Barsleepra II (Resistance against Light)
    Barsilencera II (Resistance against Wind)
    Barpetra II (Resistance against Earth)
    Barpoisonra II (Resistance against Water)
    Barvira II (Resistance against Fire)
    Barparalyzra II (Resistance against Ice)

The only one missing is Thunder based status resistance but that would be stun, so SE would have to create Enstun but stun doesn't follow the types of enfeebles above.

Of course these won't let you outright resist enfeebles, as that is handled by Resist Traits. But it will decrease the time that the effect is active.

That would be Dark, not Light. There's no Light-based-debuff resistance spell.

i'm pretty sure if you swap to whm and look at the color for barsleepra it's light based. sadly i'm at work so i can't do that just now but wiki seems to agree with my hypothesis :3

edit never mind, i forgot that colors are usually the opposite of what they actually do... light color so dark based.

You were correct before the edit. What are you talking about with colors being the opposite of what they actually do? Banish and Holy have light icons because they are light. Blind sleep drain aspir have dark icons because they are dark.

Sic will actually work, or be useful, something like that lol
    Interesting, I guess?
Fixing Sic is easy, just make it like SMN.

Perhaps the BST mythic already does this with its "Augment Sic". No one has gotten that weapon yet (as of the recent census anyway).

Of course, in this last patch they took the NIN mythic and gave it to everyone. Maybe BST is next!

Can we get an Elmer signal up in here?
Seriously...I'd like more information on JP Wiki's source.

Simple mistake, when I first started writing everything out I was writing it out by actual element and then changed it to it's resistance and forgot to change Barsleep.

If I recall correctly, the BST mythic allows the pet to use a Sic move without needing to get 100% TP.

Anyway, assuming that this is accurate, this does have potential. Jug pets are in need of strengthening, and I honestly hope that they'll add more pets. Not all families are being represented in the jug pets (There aren't any birds or amorph jug pets).

I just hope that SE is aware that jug pets, unlike wyverns and automatons, do not stay out for forever.

And new summons...I'll believe it when I see it on the FFXI page.

How does a beastmaster's "Sic" work? I am a summoner, but I have NO IDEA wth sic even is >.>
Sic works in making the pet use a "TP" move. For example, if I use sic while with a rabbit pet, the rabbit will use a TP move when it hits 100% TP. There are three problems with Sic right now.

    1) It can only be used when the pet gets to 100% TP. If the pet has less than 100% TP when Sic is used, it will use a TP move when it hits 100% TP. The BST mythic weapon allows the pet to use the TP move without needing 100% TP.

    2) Sic is on a two minute timer. Imagine a BP timer with two minutes instead of one minute...

    3) There is no way to control which TP move the pet will use. The rabbit pet, for example, will vary from Whirl Claws (AoE move), Dust Cloud (Fan AoE move) and Foot Kick. It's worse with certain pets, like Bees (it can use Final Sting or Pollen rather than Sharp Sting), so this is perhaps one of the biggest problems with Sic. The update, if accurate, attempts to fix this.

if they had good attacking pets and good tanking jug pets, BST would probably still not be 'welcome' in endgame, but it'd be a whole new world of flexibility for them, thats for sure..

and its totally make Killer Instinct worth meriting to full and throwing a BST into the party for the bonuses.. especially for beast killer lol, cos after all like most HNMs that arent dragons are Beast.

"Sic" is a pet command on a timer. Unlike Blood Pact, BST does not get a submenu of different moves to select from. Instead, the pet chooses a random TP move to use.

Not only does the timer have to be ready, but your pet must have 100 TP. If you use Sic and your pet does not have 100 TP, it will use a move as soon as it has enough TP, which is nice of SE I guess. (Notable exception: Hecteyes pet will cast a spell instead of waiting for 100 TP) If the monster that you told your pet to Sic is dead by the time your pet accumulates 100 TP, the Sic command is simply forgotten (basically, you wasted your timer).

If I recall correctly, the BST mythic allows the pet to use a Sic move without needing to get 100% TP.
Recall from what? No one has the weapon yet.

In terms of barspells the color is opposite of the function (for instance barfira has a water icon). Offensive spells on the other hand (i.e. Drain, Aspir, Holy) are the color of the element.

Exactly. Think of it as infusing yourself with water energy, in order to null fire attacks.

That's also how I think of the elemental ninjutsu attacks. You attack with Hyoton, infusing the mob with ice, so that you can then attack with Katon, etc.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for Threnody. Fire Threnody is water-based. Infusing the mob with water should make it weak to lightning, not fire.

Don't mind me, I'm just rambling until Elmer shows up to give this thread some real substance.

Elemental Debuffs (AM and Ninjitsu) that do damage are a bit different. For instance, Hyoton and Freeze are both Ice Based, and Fire beats/melts ice. Since you are doing Ice damage, think of it as temporarily freezing an object. When you use a fire based spell right after, the spell will have more impact because the object is frozen and therefore the spell is more "accurate" because it is melting the ice. At least that's the way I look at it.

Elemental Debuffs (Shock, Choke, Burn, etc) imbue the mob with a particular element so that it makes the weaker element less potent and lowers the stat based on that (Frost lowers Agi since Ice beats wind)

Threnodies are different because it's like you are taking away an element from a mob. For instance if you want to lower fire resistance like in the above example, you cast a water based song (Fire Threnody) because it sucks water out of the mob allowing fire to burn more completely.

But why would a spell that sucks water out of a mob be water-based?

A threnody is a "dirge". You are singing of the exodus of the water from the target, lamenting its disappearance.

    Yeah, I give up.
