Bumrushing Bard to 75: Tips?

Whats all this talk about food for bard, i'm fully meritted and never use food lmao

If people die, the bard is the last person people will accuse xD


Seriously, I rarely come across any problems, I have no manteel, no minstrel ring, no nin sub, no opo crown or no monster signa at lower level. I've got some AF2, a gomlek, limbus earring, +1 instruments, so i'd say 50/50 decent, nothing outstanding. I rarely had a problem with resists from 1-75 and can still get chain 100+ the same as all the l33t /nin subbing bards. Bard is all about the skill (and instruments) not the gear. Just got to be an efficient puller. Bard was my favourite grind to 75 back in '05/'06.

To comment on the "Level bard and say goodbye to all your other jobs".

In the defense of all the shell leaders for the average event linkshells (ein/limbus/etc), most only have a few decked out serious players. If you think that I'm going to force my decked out adaberk war or full usu bb mnk to go brd so you can go screw around on your homamless drk then you are sorely mistaken. Effeciency or GTFO. Better yet, improve your damn gear and then you can whine about it when you don't get a chance to show off.

Joking aside, it also helps when your leaders can tell the difference between "want a bard" and "need a bard". Tank pt on proto-ultima? Yeah, someone's playing bard. Farming Sky for Diorite? Totally different story.
