there are people who respect the right of a religious group to practice as they see fit, within their own right. Such a case would be denying a homosexual marriage at an individual church. But because opinions and viewpoints are varied, there would be some churches that would hold the official ceremony and others that would not. This just leaves the simple problem of taking religion out of the matter (what does religion have to do with taxes anyway), having everyone wanting to be married file in a courthouse as well as seek a ceremony from their religious organization, and be done with it. Everyone would be listed as "Married" and other equivalents (Married Filing Jointly on tax return), which has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with government prescribed benefits to people who have formally become involved.

That guy (the toe-touch guy) could just respect the right of religious groups to deny something they dont believe in. (Elaborate nirokunish example :D I'm the kind of vegetarian that eats fish/eggs, and I'm jewish. I want to get married and have... stewie's totally gay, the reason people are confused about him is that he didn't start that way. his character has been rewritten a lot since the beginning of the show. first he was straight, then they started hinting at stuff but never went further than hinting, then it evolved into him being a full-on queer.

imo he was funnier as an evil genius, he's just one big gay joke now.

When I came out, what I did was change my MySpace to say I was gay. Someone noticed rather quickly and word got around and I felt much happier as a result. Unfortunately I can't let family know. My parents found gay porn on my PC once and did not care for it. They thought I was confused and now constantly pressure me to get married and give them grandchildren, like it is their only goal in life.
