IMO I thought they should have added Psychicer as a tank class to FFXI. My dreams were broken, so they should do it for FFXIV instead. ._.

No jumping. Moonwalk or no deal.
linkshell bank is a good idea. it's very handy in other games
Linkshell hangout is a cool idea too.
One thing I would like to see as well is the ability to equip more than one linkshell at a time. Maybe keep one your "main", that is displayed on your character, but at least let you see the chat from the others at the same time. It's really not that hard to keep open multiple chat channels, why not be able to see if your treasure hunter LS needs help with an NM, while you're in your crafting LS talking about recipes, and your social LS just chatting with friends? Be a lot easier than /tells.
kawfee do you not get tired from having awesome ideas?
also I like the damage on your armor to show. Since there will be armor and weapon deterioration make it show in your char. So that if some newb has 0/1000 durability everyone can see that he is being gimp right now.
You could easily do that by having the chat channel system from WoW. I had 2 or 3 chat channels I was in to talk to friends, etc. while still having guild chat going on.
I like how there are people joining BG forums this week and flocking to this topic with their awesome ideas for FFXIV online.![]()
If it acted like a real bank and kept a record of who put stuff in/took stuff out then there would be no doubt as to who did what. Or even better if there was a multiple key system where more than one person had to say enter a code to agree to take an item or gil out before it could be removed.
If you can make certain people the officers, just make sure they are not all the same click. Rather than the two best friends or husband and wife, get one of each of those. Make sure they are diverse.
but yeah, there would still be drama crap. it's 'cause the internetz is stupid
Huh?
I really like the Guild House idea mentioned here. That'd be a neat little feature especially if there was a central storage for items, that way you could trade things amongst members more easily rather than entrusting it to a single person's mule. The multiple codes thing Pixiehawk suggested seems like a great way to avoid unecessarily one person having too much control. Usually mishaps like a bank being looted happen when one person is quitting or cashing out, doesn't usually happen in pairs, I love that idea.
Not much I suppose. But if you include the other part of my idea, where the log was readable (by all members) then everyone could keep track, rather than having to rely on the officers to pass the information on.
If you and I shared the information on a mule account, then how would Maguspk know who to believe when the gil was gone and we both denied taking it? I know you can watch the AH for big purchases, or if one of us was suddenly on another server it would be a big clue, but with the logs everyone would KNOW instead of having to guess. And with the "keys", as long as they were give to diverse people in the ls, and not to best buds that would plan shit together, it would decrease the chance of something happening.
I do think a LS bank with some sort of deposit/withdraw history is a good idea, and is certainly much better than what FFXI has to offer, but I am not so sure about this "keys" idea. More people having access to a LS bank means a higher chance of having it all stolen. If I misunderstood and your idea is to actually have some sort of check and balance requiring 2 key holders for a withdraw then I have to say that just sounds like a little too much work.
Well I recently joined this month just because it seems like it's the best place to talk about FFXIV, but I've followed the forums for a while. I also played FFXI for about 3 and a half years from NA launch.
Anyway, back on topic. I really think instances just don't fit into a FF world, disconnects the landscape.
Hopefully they integrate chat into the game, especially with the PS3 version since there's no Ventrilo on PS3.
I also like the linkshell bank idea, very helpful, cuts down on the numbers of useless mules.
