First time I saw it I was surprised that Cruise or Kidman had some purple drank lovin DNA in them. Then someone told me he was adopted.

does this neocon mccarthyist 2nd ammendment smutfilm really need a remake?
define remake in music terms. do you mean remastered, or covers, because I've heard some great fucking covers.
Honestly if having Hollywood constantly digging for remakes means having to endure a lot of schlock for a few gems (BSG, V, The Departed, A Fistful of Dollars, Magnificent Seven to name a few) that are as good or better than the original I'm okay with it.
Also, how would you define remake since back in the 60s-70s Sergio Leone and other western directors remade quite a few of Kurosawa's movies and they all are definitely onpar with the original, even taking it in completely original amazing directions a la The Good, The Bad and the Ugly from Yojimbo/Fistful of Dollars.
A necro to end all necro's
it finally has a release date: November 2nd, 2012

I might go see it if they have the prinicple scene at the start again. that shit was and still is hilarious to me.
You know... I actually bought a fucking ticket to Breaking dawn thinking it was this movie. Had to remedy that shit right away.
hahahahaha
alsoUsually the video game comes out AFTER the movie, not before itWhile the Red Dawn remake will follow very closely in the footsteps of the original, this time around it is the North Koreans doing the invading of the only genuine superpower left on the planet – after filmmakers had originally slated the Chinese as the villains of the piece, but changed their minds in order to give the movie more appeal in the increasingly lucrative market of China.
Missed this on my first post. This is why it will suck, there's going to be a spectacular asspull to try and make it believable that north korea could invade a super market in America let alone Colorado.this time around it is the North Koreans doing the invading
Synopsis;
In Red Dawn, a city in Washington state awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky – shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.
