The difference between someone like me wanting social reform, revolution, and a certain level of revolution on behalf of the people against the government and someone like sirrus wanting it is oh, about 50 I.Q. points, minimum.

We're being taxed unfairly and without proper representation. That was enough for a revolution 200 years ago. I'm not saying break out the muskets but I am saying, and I think Penn & Teller put it very succinctly recently, "everyone wants to think their neighbor is cheating the system and should be taxed more but won't speak up because they themselves think they may be cheating the system."

We live in a system where so many trivialities are illegal and literally every taxpaying citizen has broken the law at some point in the past 5 years inadvertently. If everyone is afraid to speak out because they fear repercussion then an atmosphere where the government can run rampant without recourse is created.

That to me is horrible and a justifiable need for a change. Whatever shit this sirrus dude is using as his soapbox is just wrong, and honestly it disgusts me that someone as fucking retarded as he is can share the same end-game goal as I do.

Oh, and Miz, I wouldn't worry too much about that comment either. No'th Kakilacky wasn't originally part of the south, they seceeded when VA seceeded in order to prevent being surrounded and destroyed; not that it did them much good when the Union came through and raped it anyway. Granted NC did still have a strong desire for the Confederacy, they were reluctant to secede when it became clear that Lincoln was the president - but after Fort Sumter and VA secession they were kinda screwed either way. Not trying to clear them of course - NC provided a vast quantity of troops for the South after all and had a major course during the war, so can't call them innocent.

One of the most prominent pieces of art in downtown Raleigh is a very large confederacy memorial statue. It would be really nice if they removed it and stuck it in the history museum or something.
