FAO Swartz still exists on 5th Ave, you can check that out and the Apple store is right in front of it.

Check out a Yankees/Mets game for sure, and maybe do some shopping around 5th Ave/Times Square. Times Square is fun at night, can check out the 3 story Toys'R'Ús.

Theres the Gugenhiem(sp? too lazy to look up) Museum, The MET, The Museum of Natural History/ Planetarium is by Central Park so you can see both at the same time.

If all else fails come say hi to me in the Bronx =p.
Last two times I stayed in NYC I stayed across from the MET, as in I could see it out my window, yet I've never been there :/

I would however recommend Cafe Lalos, it's a pretty delicous dessert place

Make sure you don't pay their recommended price and only pay $2 though. You don't have to pay the prices they recommend.

Also: Lombardi's - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's not like a normal pizzeria where you get a slice and get out. More of a restaurant thing where you have to buy whole pies. It's really good pizza though.

Prepare to wait 30+mins if you're going for dinner and bring a friend of course

    On Food

Oh yeah, got another one... if you are trashed in Manhattan late late, then hit up Wohop; it is a all-night chinese food place in the chinatown area. Decent prices, food is ok, but the draw is it is 24 hours and everyone dives there after getting trashed. I have slept with my face on the table on more than one occasion.

There are also asian 'massage' places flanking the establishments. Never been, but I heard it is the shit.

Yeah! Make sure you are a cheap motherfucker and don't support the museum so they can't continue operating the way they do! Woo!

Mainly Lake Braddock since they were just down the road from us. Hayfield I think we had a rivalry with as well. I graduated in '98, so I don't know much about the school any more. The only thing I know about Madison is too many of the girls look like they're 18!

Looks like I might be stopping by Pittsburgh on the way dolmen....

Anyways. So looks like the best thing to do is stay in NJ, transit to NY. And I want pizza, Central park, and Times square. Any suggestion on the specifics? Where in NJ to stay and where to grab a bite while staying within the vicinity of being able to hit Time's Square and Central park all in the same day.

My favorite Pizza in NYC is in Midtown, so if you are anywhere in that area, check out Mariella's Pizza, on 58th and 8th, just before Columbus circle. Never seen too bad of a line there, even during lunch hour, and its reasonably priced, I recall 2.50 for a plain slice, maybe 3.25 for something specialty. Honestly there is so much to do in the city if you are feeling adventurous it's really not fair or practical to give you a list if you only have 1 day to visit. I wouldn't even know where to begin honestly. If you some how find yourself on the Upper West Side, check out Carmine's resturant, around 95th and Broadway IIRC, and if you are in the mood for pizza check out Koronets on 110th and broadway to get the biggest most ridiculous slice of pizza you've ever seen for like 3 dollars and change.

Also in my opinion Riverside Park is much prettier than Central Park, providing a great view of the Hudson river, and the palisades cliffs in new jersey. Riverside is also pretty big, but a lot more narrow since it just runs down the upper west side of manhattan.

Going to guess it's this desk, since this was the one he posted a thread about before:
Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Sami Hayek for Target: Office Collection

I don't understand what it is about that desk would motivate you to take a 3-day trip to acquire one, but I'm sitting in my $1100 office chair writing this post, so who am I to criticize?

I honestly don't see what people find so special about NYC.

Well you're from NYC. Of course you don't find anything special about it.

Anyway, Tekki... it really depends on opinion. People in Flatbush swear by their pizza, while people in Manhattan or Bronx swear by theirs. It just depends on where... but from what I remember... Brooklyn always had the best pizza.

I've had friends tell me that they love lower Manhattan pizza; I've had friends tell me they adore Queens pizza... it's all a matter of preference I suppose. All I know is I fell in love with Brooklyn's pizza and that's where my family grew up.

Maybe NY is just special for Puerto Ricans and outsiders, but for me, personally, my family has roots there and even though I don't live in the area anymore I still love the city to death.

Do not go see the Yankees. You might as well pay to watch people in the street alley inject steroids and play baseball. You will get the same effect. Funny a team that has one of the highest payrolls in baseball still sucks.

Because an over hyped team that doesn't perform well (recently) is not worth your time / money.
