gugrusaurus broken?

hello ^^ this is my first post in here.
i wanted to ask if any other fishermen have had the problem i have been having since the last update.

i have lvl 100 fishing skill + gear and mog house boost + all gp items accept the apron. the problem i have run into is that even with the penguin and albatross rings + lu shang i have been unable to land gugrusaurus with out drill calamary before se made some changes to ebisu rod i had a tough time getting them in but nothing like i am seeing now. i have had 0 success getting them in and most often there hp wont drop much past 50% now i know this fish is a pain to catch and all but this just6 cant be right.

i have used both pc and ps2 (tap fighting) and so on. i even ran virus scans wile fishing like some forums say help allot and still nothing.
if any one out there has had this problem pleas say so or mabey some tips on what might be going on
oh also i have been trying meatballs and sliced bluetail i have been fishing during new moon and full moon with no real change.

Maybe SE super gimped liks/gugras on lus without the specail bait? so only ebisu holders can catch it without them?

God I hope not. Getting those baits are a pain in the ass >< (getting the rings too but at least you get many uses with those)

Or maybe the people with ebisu can catch the gugrus because they fished them to get the ebisu!? It is just speculation. I have not seen a post on titanictus about this at all, and also know people currently reeling them in saying there is no difference since the patch with lushang. Just a bad run, or need more practice with gugrus, they don't really use that much tap fishing tbh, not nearly as much as liks do.

with ebisu, donno what rowboats are.

sometimes on a bad moon i will go 2-3 trips without catching a single one

does skill affect line breaks or something? I am 94+4

sure do

100+5 from gears alone vs 100 + 8 from gears and moglification is very different

I always get Bronze coin paid support for gug fishing, whether it's my imagination or not it seems to help with line breaks.
