100% of the time, I don't listen to in-game music. It's repetitive and gets dull real fast so I usually have my play list or streaming music. So yeah, with the sound disabled, I can't hear much. Not to mention it would be nice to see alerts from IMs and such.
The bigger problem for me is that Aion makes my computer slow as fuck and like maybe 40% of the CPU is being used. So everything is slow when I do Alt-Tab. The slow down is analogous to the amount of time it takes for Aion itself to load on start up. Very frustrating.
You can get a crappy 1280*1024 monitor pretty cheaply, and it'll work fine for firefox/chat/music/etc while you play. It really makes a massive difference.
Window, hit the maximize button, voila. Game + Task bar.
I would like to know if anyone got a good database of which mob can drop stigmas, for different jobs/level
As for now i heard many stories and don't know which is right.
1) Any mob can drop any stigma starting from morheim/elyos city and up
2) certain mob drop certain stigma (and Aion armory isin't thatm uch up to date for all stigmas)
Thx
Well, I've personally gotten Silence Shot I from a Crushed Soul in the Abyss and the one Templar "GET OVER HERE!" move from a Kerubim Gatherer.
Any suggestions for good places to grind around 29+? abyss is sort of out of the question unless its duo or more since im forever being ganked by raiding parties or unless theres a decently secluded spot.
When does partying normally start to occur? I'm only an 11 ranger atm but it seems like the levels are taking forever, does that change eventually and if so, when?
Do more quests/missions, they give out decent exp/money and well... it's the popular thing to do.
As far as partying, I joined my first at 15.
ive never had 2 monitors..so you can see both instances of Aion on each screen? can you watch a movie for example on one screen and play aion on another? :O
The dual wield traits... is that increased speed, or higher offhand damage?
Any decent spots to grind in like heiron/theo at 35? I know pvp game, etc, but getting chased by 3+ asmo every 10~ minute is annoying.
If the levels seem like they're taking forever at level 11 then you're going to hate it when you get level 20+. Pretty much just focus on grinding all the quests you can get, there is more than enough to level completely off of quests until 20. At level 16-17, you will have to party up to complete the Black Claw (or whatever the elyos equivalent is) since they are elites.
After level 20, there are no where near enough quests to get your level so you have to start grinding at that point.
edit: whoops didnt realize there was another page <_<
I'll just keep trudging along, this game kicks the shit outta ffxi if you ask me.
