More hp healed? That, or one of them is like regen healing over time, and the other is a lump sum of hp, ala cure IV, etc

The 'healing potions' are the ones that dispel debuffs you have on yourself. I'm wondering if they dispel additional effects or something.

It has to do with the level of debuff it can remove.

And to whoever was asking about threatmeter addons, no. And I hope they never add them, addons like that dumb down the game imo.

I don't see how. Otherwise you're just guessing and I don't see that as very "intelligent".

Exactly, I don't see how that dumbs down the game. Threat meter isn't going to keep threat for you for starters. You can certainly go w/out it, but the more serious player likes to see how things are quantitatively. What's the harm in being informed? A shit tank will still remain a shit tank w/ or w/o a threat meter until they actually use their brains to play better. If nothing else, a meter would be informative in making a player better which overall helps the game imo.

If you really need a set of bars on your screen to tell you when/how to dps, how is that intelligent?

I've never had a problem managing my hate in any game I've played without a threatmeter, it's not hard. And it's not like I'm slacking in dps either, my gold medals from forts are a testiment to that.

Know your class, know your tank, know the hate system. Unless you're fighting insane kralls (hieron krall elites with no hate table) or other specific enemies it's not hard.

My update is borked and won't load properly (Error code 58) I absolutely have to update before I can play, aye?

Yeah i've done that, turned off my firewall and restarted my comp, but when the installer is verifying the files, it gets to 44% then skips the rest

So I hit 25 today on my sin and finally got to the abyss. Think it's faster to level just grinding mobs or trying to do these quests? I mostly level solo if that matters.

you are going to have to grind eventually, quest exp starts getting more and more insignificant the higher in level you get.

I'm not sure if you're elyos or asmo, but the beginning fortress training instance is really nice exp. I got about half my level per run... Made 25-29 super easy.

So is there any way to improve enchanting/manastone success rates? I just spent 3.6k kinah on extraction tools and used them on items that I could've NPC'd for 3.5k more Kinah. I ended up failing two of the tools on my dagger and succeeding one (dagger was already +1) and ended up spending a potential 7k kinah to make my dagger normal again. That's fucking retarded and I'd really like there to be some way to get around that.
