Anyone know how to edit Aion's resolution settings out of game?

I'm on a m17x Alienware w/ a 8800 Nvidia

the native res on the laptop is 1920x1200 - but, ive got it hooked up to my big screen, so it's never been able to scale properly.

anyways, for some odd reason, whenever I launch aion (beginning at the log-in screen) the mouse cursor just zooms to the upper-left corner. i cant move it anywhere on my own. if i do, it just reverts to the upper left.

any hear of similar issues? this makes it impossible to alter the resolution in-game

Can someone explain to me how I randomly do 1.3k+ with stunning arrow when I average 300-400. This skill seems to random, I can do 1.2k one minute then crit and only do 700.

Yea, as others have said, this is a very random skill, so your numbers will vary widely. It's supposed to be one of the perks of playing Ranger.

Theres a Templar skill like this at low level too. A large majority of the time it'll only do like 70 damage, but randomly will hit for 400-500.

yep, confirming that also. i did a 1.5k stunning arrow yesterday @ 22, while i've done crits before for 700 ish and regulars for 300-400. seems to be completly random.

Shining Slash sometimes has some insane crits, I did one for over 1300 once around my early 20's.

Ranger is a bastid until 16/19/22/25 they all help a lot.

Assassin is the same way, although you don't really get good things until 25/28. Scouts are just a pain at low levels.

I really hate the concept of jump shooting. Yeah, it's the best way to play the game, but it's a headache and a tad bit to stressful for me compared to me playing on my Templar or Gladiator.

However, you gotta get used to it. I find Ranger to be the most efficient grinder compared to my Templar or Gladiator. Just learn to kite and you could practically keep fighting non-stop without need for healing. It kinda sucks for duo'ing though if you are using the kite method. Doubly sucks if the area you are in has tons of aggroing mobs around...which is just about all exp camps not under prime time.

Stick to it is what I'll advise, it's a pain right now, but gets better especially if you love ranged classes like I do.

It's really messy as the settings file is coded in something other than text. I helped someone on here with it back on caion because his laptop wouldn't run the default resolution so he could never start the game. I just saved copies of the system.cfg file and changed things one at a time to see what was needed. I wouldn't think the resolution would make the mouse wig out, but who knows.

Yeah that was me ^^ Just get a friend to make theirs the resolution you need and send a copy of their system.cfg which is in the base Aion folder.

Someone on AS told me to delete the cfg file because it would simply reset the settings. It worked, so I just messed around w/ the settings until I could get the mouse to not go insane.

However, I can only play in fullscreen it seems. If I alt-tab out, the mouse becomes possessed.

Kinda sucks but oh well. Laptop will have to do until my PC is fixed! Thanks for the reply :D

How much can you sell Fluxes for? I've been tossing or selling the lesser ones just to free up the space. I have some regular ones now, and I thought I heard that people can sell them for a decent amount.

What are all the conditions for unlocking the stigma slots? I'm assuming the original 5 just come along the way by getting to 50, but are the added three quest rewards of some sort? Find myself torn on what to set for my Gladiator, as Improved Stamina has been nice for soloing or even some oshit moments in escaping PvP gank, but I kinda feel like something might have more potential than a 20% cure on a 3m timer. Have Crippling Cut III equipped also, and may just settle on Lockdown II over trying to find an Ankle Snare when I hit 37 for my third slot.
